... yesterday on me mail route I came upon this one rural type mail box with an unusually deep lipped door, and the door had been left open from when the guy, Don Billips, had gotten his mail on Friday. Friday night we had some really gooder thunder boomers and a pretty quick 85 hundredths rain.

And of course knowing this, lol, I put Don's mail right in his box, and just as pretty as ya please I then flipped up the door for to close it. And well... it was filled to the brim with waterm it was it was... and dang if most all of it didn't splash all over me, into my mail bag, and all of the mail that I had in me hands too.

I just stood there for a moment thinking, "I don't believe that just happened!"
(not to self, snap out of it ya dummy!)

... the day before yesterday, Friday, and again while I was on my mail route. I was just starting out on like the 8th leg of me route, and so I was also parked very close by. And too, anytime we park our LLVs we must lock everything up and always curb the wheels.
So, off I go, and I came around the corner from Tyler Elliot's house (the first house on that leg) to go to Bob Boyd's next... and as I come around Bob's garage to go to his mailbox on his front porch, I looked up from sorting out his mail in me hands to see some visiting golden Lab, that I have never seen before, also sitting on the porch... and it looked like he was waiting to get back into the house. Well... just as I looked up and saw him, he turned his head from the door and saw me... and I immediately turned, quicker than quick too, and took off at full speed. And, he did too!

Now, there was no way in hell that I was going to make it back to my LLV, and unlock it, and in time for to make any sort of safe get-a-way... just no way at all.

So, I stopped, and turned around to face him all the while maneuvering my mailbag to the front of me for some kind of added protection... and also at the same time, trying to reach into me bag for my mustard spray thingie.

And then, and just as I was taking my stance, Bob's sprinkler system also kicked in... and up from his lawn came all those dang sprinklers.
Welll... that put me and the dog off for a bit, and as I stepped back from the spraying water, I tripped over one of them dang sprinklers and down I went... and I thought to myself, "Oh Fuck! I'm totally dead!"

Meanwhile...lol... the Lab came out of his shock at the now spraying water... and I guess he thought that this was all part of some sort of a game... and cuz he came running over and leaped right on me chest while I was down, and just started licking my face like crazy... and then.... I started laughing.

Hmmmm????... lol, what is it with me a water this week?
