Here's what a lot of people didn't know, which is stated on the letter i just got:

"However, if the net income tax liability on your 2007 return is less than $300 and you had $3,000 or more in qualifying income, the amount of your stimulus is $300."

For instance. my boyfriend only paid $625 in taxes last year, and made $6600. He claimed our other child, so he ended up getting back almost $3000 even though he only paid $625!! So it means he didnt pay ANY taxes, he got back more than he paid in.

Because the tax liability is LESS than $300... his stimulus is only $300 NOT the $600 everyone thinks they are getting per person!

That is why people are getting less than they thought! Low income people who have kids, usually get back MORE than they paid in taxes!

And P.S. He hasnt even received any notice of getting a payment at all. His will be the last batch to go out because of his ss#... so Im worried he may not get one at all. He never got the first notice like I did, but according to the rules it looks like he qualifies.

I've paid taxes every year I've had that fixed income, SINCE 1999. I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED ANY MONEY BACK(REFUND). THEY ALWAYS HAVE A REASON TO KEEP IT. I should, from his speach recieve the full amount promised, but as I said, I think they are going to wait until the banks fail, and bail out.

I've learned never to do my own tax return. Always have it done for you by a tax accountant.

The years I did it myself, I ALWAYS got letters in the make saying that I owed more money. They always squeezed me for more.

As soon as I had an accountant sign it, they never tried to get more from me.

An Accountant/Lawyer has done the taxes since '99. I still end up with no refund, and for the most part feel lucky they don't take more from my check!
Again, this does not have a reasonable explanation. This is in fact a fraud foisted by the administration. It is not what they said, or how they said. It is what they DO. Steal, cover up, and lie. I am furious more people should know the checks, and they're "under review" is simple theft!

I haven't received a letter like that but I did receive my letter saying how much we would be getting. According the IRS calculator on their website, our check was going to be $1800 but the letter that we received said it would only be $900.

Talk about B.S.

We expected more too. Got the check for $900, and then a letter saying it was under review. We were shorted one of the kids so we are hoping they will send the rest. Someday when pigs fly.

You got the check THEN the letter? How absurd! What do you think they did with the info on the kid--it goes by ss#?

I actually worked on the stimulus program. Lot of the returns were totally screwed up and maybe that is why they are under review? Some people filed twice; once for regular and once for stimulus. That will gum up the works too.

Thats just great. I knew from the beginning I would be one of the last to see a check if it even happened. So these morons have clogged the whole thing up because they are stupid and greedy and just to get a few dollars. The people are almost as bad as the politicians. I think at this point I'll just figure nothing is coming.

HA!HA!HA! YOU EXPECT 'HONESTY' FROM THE GUBMINT? WHERE THE HELL YOU BEEN THE LAST 18 YEARS? There could be fireballs dropping out of the sky and the 'official' weather report would read 'unseasonably hot weather'. Besides it takes many billions to pay off those fraud laden military contractors and if you are low income then you are a useless eater and not really 'stimulating' the economy as much as those criminal contractors are by spreading around the payola.

Re: Has anyone else received a IRS letter saying your Stimulus Payment is "under review"?
Has anyone noticed the arrests in conjunction with the banks literally stealing funds from account holders? Have you noticed erroneous bank charges(Chase in particular)eating your account up? This is a set up for bank failure, as all their accounting is "made up" numbers posted to look good for the stockholders. Now add to that the Feds rip off, and I do believe they had that closed congressional hearing LAST YEAR, and knew this was happening THEN. And to distract us they promise a small pay out from money THEY originally stole from US! They will make a show of giving the money out, but it is not the amount originally promised by Bush. And it is apparently not the amount based on taxes, credits, or any other BS. It is simply some to receive SOME of what Bush stated, not all, and that is simply for show. They knew in advance the banks ARE stealing, and they knew when the arrest were in the works. How could the justice dept. not know when they had a meeting over it a year ago? So they say "we'll send you a check" to keep us busy, while they are themselves securing as much of the funds as possible. The banks collapse and they can say "it wasn't my fault, I tried to give some of it back, its the banks fault?
How many people really think Chase, which is Rothschild's, is going to jail? Do you really think that the Rothschild family will be held accountable when the economy collapses?
