This was premeditated murder you glowie bootlicker, the officer had the advantage over him, was going away from the guy and was pulling his pistol and killing him, you're a useless rat.

Looks like the person struck the office HARD and probably was going to harm the officer if he could have. The perpetrator might have killed the officer or injured him? Why should the officer take a chance? All one has to do is stop the violence and give an officer his or her hands. It could have ended peacefully.
