Over population.......yes and no.

It's the way we do things which is the main issue for the state of affairs today.

On the one hand we all want to go forward and use new technologies for prosperity and such, yet we have a "financial" system which is based on perpetual growth (which is impossible).
Meanwhile we are holding on to THE MOST rudimentary way of energy resources (oil and gas) to satisfy the financial hunger the suppliers have and holding back any technology which would be better, safer and cleaner. But alas, there is no money to be made by them so that is not going to happen.

It's the paradigm that makes people suffer and that paradigm is the cause of many people not being able to acquire what they need. The basics. Because they don't have the money for it.

In a nutshell, there's much more to it than just this bit.
