Blue Full Moon in Scorpio
May 19, Monday. Guatama Buddha’s Day of Enlightenment is celebrated during the Full Moon in May. [link to www.experiencefestival.com] In these days of No Shadows we have the Scorpio Full Moon at 29 Scorpio 27 rising near Antares tonight and Venus (23 Taurus) squaring Neptune. May 19, 20 and 21 mark the annual zodiacal conjunction of the Pleiades with the Sun.

The Mayans left an important clue about this Timing, built into the pyramid (Kukulkan) at Chichen Itza. May 20 is exactly 60 days after the Spring Equinox and the pyramid Kukulkan rests near the 23rd latitude where the Sun reaches the Zenith (exactly overhead) at Noon when no shadows are cast on the pyramid. These days occur twice each year and were called the “Days of No Shadows” by the Mayans.

John Major Jenkins, author of the Maya Cosmogenesis, indicates that the pyramid Kukulkan, (a.k.a. Quetzalcoatl, the Plumed Serpent) tracks the Sun-Pleiades-Zenith conjunction. The Crotalus rattlesnake found repeatedly in Meso-American art resembles the Mayan glyph for the Sun “Ahau” (pronounced Ah-how) and relates to the flow of time or the flow of consciousness through the seasons of life as they end and begin again. [link to alignment2012.com]

“Tzab” is the Mayan word for the Pleiades, also known as the rattle of the snake. When the Pleiades conjuncts the Sun at the zenith, the rattle is in place. This Sun-Pleiades-Zenith alignment is occurring during a 72-year window, from 1976 to 2048, with the well-known date of 2012 at the center. Interestingly and highly synchronistically, on May 20, 2012, the Sun-Pleiades-Zenith passage features a solar eclipse, meaning the Pleiades and the Sun are joined as the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. The implications of this event are worth pondering as we approach that date. Meanwhile the Sun is a catalyst, or key, further unlocking the Pleiadian stargate over these days when the Sun and Pleiades join together at the zenith. --from Celestial Timings
:Quetz8: :maya88:

Our Full Moon occurs on May 19-20 in early sidereal Scorpio, directly facing the Scorpion's head.
The first few degrees of sidereal Scorpio, approaching the head of the Scorpion, resides in the domain of the Centaur, teacher of self-mastery; also under the neck of the Serpent, held in the hand of Ophiuchus, that is reaching for the Northern Crown, symbol of attaining freedom from the clutches of the Scorpion, from being entrapped in our cyclic patterns of growth. Here the theme of sacrifice and offerings arise, but sacrifice does not mean self-sacrifice, in the true sense of the word, it means to give up a lower office for a higher office. When offering up the lesser, we are also faced with taking on a greater responsibility, moving from victim consciousness, where we merely acquiesce to the conditions of life in which we find ourselves--caught in the clutches of the Scorpion--to taking responsibility for creating our life scenarios and consciously choosing a life path that supports our experiential growth, our emotional and spiritual maturity, and our physical fulfillment.

Alpha Centauri is the principal Full Moon star, which embodies the essence of the Centaur. It is a star of wisdom and of master teachers. The benevolent Centaur teaches the right way to live to attain our self-mastery in the physical world and subsequently to claim our evolutionary freedom from entrapment in the karmic re-incarnational process of soul growth. Such mastery is exemplified by Ophiuchus who stands over the Scorpion and holds the serpent pointing to the Northern Crown, which lies north and above the chelae of the Scorpion.

The Centaurian training is not merely an intellectual understanding of these principles but is learned through an experiential journey moment-by-moment that leads one to true inner wisdom and knowledge on an energetic neurological level, resulting in the inner realization that makes self-mastery of the primal forces of life actualized and right action crystal clear.

The near by Circini Spiral Galaxy embodies the principle of either choosing a path of personality-level convenience or the higher path of the soul, fulfilling one's greater purpose on Earth.

Also conjoining from the southern heavens is Alpha Chamaeleon, generally a symbol of adaptability, change and new beginnings, the Chamaeleon articulates the ability to adjust to any situation, but not through subservience or acquiescence, but in mastery of self and with intuitive sensitivity and individuality.--from the Lunar Planner

Re: Blue Full Moon in Scorpio
Full moon and other planetary news this week

Lovely Venus is very active in the middle of the month, with a square to Chiron on May 17th, a sextile to Uranus and trine to Jupiter on the 18th, and a square to Neptune on the 20th. Venus usually works on us through our interpersonal relationships but can also have an effect on our internal values and possessions. In any event, we are likely to encounter new and unusual (Uranus) kinds of people that are helpful to us and help to expand our world (Jupiter). But we may be prone to idealize these situations (Neptune) in a way that forces us to revisit old wounds of the past (Chiron).

These Venus events set the stage for the Full Moon tomorrow (the 19th) which is likely to be an intense one. Not only is it the second Scorpio Full Moon in a series, but it is at the last degree of Scorpio. The 29th degree is sometimes called the "anaretic" degree, or the "karmic" degree, because it is like the final exam. By the 29th degree we are by necessity learning any lessons of that sign that we have not yet assimilated before we can move into the next sign.

All of this is part of a major Yod to the South Node that occurs on the 21st and incorporates a conjunction of Chiron to the North Node. A Yod, or "Finger of Fate" aspect, is an event of great significance of which the Apex planet (in this case, the South Node) is the key. (I don't use the Nodes of the Moon to calculate Yods in an individual's chart, but they are useful to consider by transit.) The importance of the South Node shows that there will be an illumination of an episode from the past (South Node) that is brought into the current time period so that patterns of behavior can be alchemized into new modes of behavior and thinking that are more useful to us.

Traditional astrologers consider the South Node to be malefic, but that is because there is a tendency with the South Node to be drawn into behaviors that hold us back from our soul's evolution. When we are on a path of conscious understanding and awareness it becomes easier to let go of our attachment to the dramas that previously we considered our reality.

In many ways, the Full Moon in Scorpio is about letting go of those attachments. Scorpio has a tendency to hold on to the emotional drama and create an intense story that becomes a part of our identity. During the Full Moon the lunar instinctive energies (now in Scorpio) overcome the solar conscious mind (working with the Taurus dynamic of stability and peaceful existence). Achieving a balance between these two is the goal now as we move with the Moon from Scorpio's last degree into the more expansive climate of Sagittarius with its optimism and love of adventure.

After the culmination of the Full Moon we'll be able to assimilate all of the information downloaded during the previous week of intensity when Mercury forms a trine to Chiron on the 23rd and facilitates the healing process and the deepening into wisdom of any challenges that we faced during the cathartic Scorpio Full Moon. Because Mercury and Chiron are both moving very slowly now, this trine will be in effect for at least a week between the 21st and the end of the month during which time we'll have two more retrogrades: Mercury and Neptune, both on the 26th.

If anyone has more info on this Full Moon please feel free to post it.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO 29.27 degrees BLUE FULL MOON MAY 20th NZ 2.11pm AUST EST 12.11pm GMT 2.11am
The moon is Apogee (furtherest from Earth) at 2am NZ FIRST LIGHT TIME on 21st
We are given another chance to connect deeply on this full moon which is also in Scorpio and a Blue Full Moon, meaning the second full moon in not a calendar month, but the same star sign, which is very rare. The last full moon was also in Scorpio and the Wesak Full Moon on April 20th. With this full moon it is also when the Sun is Conjunct the Central Sun, Alycone. So some very powerful energies pulling at us here, as the Sun and Moon are opposite. Those contracts you sorted out at the Wesak Full Moon and all the inner unifying that's taken place gives you the opportunity at this Moon to make the next step in your journey, into higher light octaves of yourself. Be open to receiving these energies and allowing yourself to trust in the process as you surrender in divine will.
The Full Moon is a time of completion and celebration, and when the Sun and the Moon are opposite and with the Sun and Central Sun one in Taurus "I have" and Scorpio "I transform" with the second blast of this energy its here to shoot us into the higher planes of ourself and the bigger picture higher dimensional worlds. This energy is very stabilising and nurturing, grounding and deeply connected through our souls and Source, through the Suns and Moon. Enjoy making a special occasion of this event.

Re: Blue Full Moon in Scorpio
If my birthday is May 20th, and I have a Scorpio Moon in my natal chart, then this is going to have some sort of implications for me, right?

I have a Scorpio Moon, Taurus/Gemini cusp Sun and a Libra Ascendant.

My Saturn is conjunct Mars in Leo in the 11th house.

I am one of those people who is generally pretty gregarious but somehow manages to get misunderstood a lot and judged prematurely. I am also very anxious by nature, and have a hard time making decisions, I like to weigh out all options 1st and feel as though I am always spinning my wheels.

I am talented in all of the arts, painting, writing, singing, cooking...etc. Great aesthetic perception for tone and shades. I am spiritual, and confident in my personal beliefs. I had a rough childhood, which led me to cultivate knowledge of culture and politics. I talk a lot....maybe too much.

But above all I want peace, and sometimes I inadvertently intimidate people who would otherwise be friends if not for their own feelings of inadequacy. Then I get angry and frustrated, and holding things inside gets hard. I feel like I am being dehumanized by life in general. I just want peace and a stable life. I wish there was less drama and crave simplicity, and abundance is it possible to have both?

I am very loyal to those who I can trust. But always get into situations where I am painted out to be a flake. I am very frank and often offend people. Have been described as tactless, because I don't lie to people when they ask me for my point of view. I don't sugar coat things. I like to look at the bleak reality of life face on and don't intend on stopping. I would give up my life for my freedom, or that of others.

I have had amazing changes happen to my character during the course of my life, some of them voluntary and deliberate, and I have no patience for people who claim a character flaw is just their personality. I believe people can fundamentally change their perception and their life and that personality should evolve.

I believe survival is going to get very hard shortly and we need this as a species because we have to learn how to trust, love and adapt. That and some hard work is all that can save us...

Organized religion is the antichrist...

Blah, blah, blah...
If you read this, then congratulations, and thank you, I hope you don't fell as though your time has been wasted.

This post is very interesting. My birthday was yesterday. I turned 46. What is interesting is that it falls on the same moon phase as my birth. The full moon was on the 19th back in 1962 too. I do know that I have a Scorpio moon.

Tomorrow is Wesak...so Happy Wesak to all!!!

Hi Ahim-sa, take back a couple of hours, and this time tomorrow 4 U, take my hand, and you know what comes next.

Meanwhile from Space Weather --Moon Flower(Ipomoea alba)
FLOWER MOON: There's a full moon tonight and according to folklore it is the "Flower Moon," named after the abundant flowers of northern spring. Gardeners, watch carefully and you could witness a beautiful transformation when the light of the Flower Moon strikes the petals of the Moon Flower. This video shows what to expect. [link to plantsinmotion.bio.indiana.edu]

Moon flowers open in the evening so they can be pollinated by night-flying moths. Like most moth-pollinated flowers, the moon flower is white, which attracts moths. The moon flower is a close relative of the morning glory, which opens in the morning so it can be pollinated by bees and other insects that are active during the day. Although not shown in this movie, the moon flower petals die in the morning after they open. This flower was filmed on a cool fall evening. The flower started to open around 6:00 pm and was filmed until just after 8:00 pm. On a warm summer night, moon flowers can open in a matter of minutes.
