President Obama?: Nostradamus Newt Predicts a Conservative Collapse
I hate to say this, but so far Newt Gingrich has been mostly right in his analysis of the Democratic primary race. Granted, his arguments have been shaded with what I believe are ill-advised Republican/conservative ideas.

But he has been like the Nostradamus of the Republican Party-- except that Newt's predictions and assessments have come true more often than the debatable prophecies of that French astrologer.

Gingrich is now ringing the alarm for his conservative colleagues and Republican organizations. In a recent article, Gingrich begs his fellow Republicans to refrain from the use of the ugly and off-point politics against Obama similar to what they've used over recent years.

Gingrich claims that this election cycle, the 527s - those Republican nests full of venomous falsehoods and distortions - will cause McCain to fail in his bid for the presidency against Obama.

And Gingrich is right.

Just as when he predicted way back in February that Obama might actually defeat Clinton for the nomination, Gingrich may be more in tune with what Americans want now more than his fellow Republicans. He knows that Americans no longer want to be spoon-fed lies and then patted on our heads for voting against our interests.

And it seems that the Republicans who are licking their chops, just raring to go after Obama on irrelevant issues, could actually do more damage to their own cause than to Obama's. With every slam against Obama that comes out of the Republican camp, I believe we will see an increase in Obama's support. And we're already starting to see evidence of such a phenomenon.

First of all--in a shocker-- Obama has defeated the Clinton brand by sticking to the issues while Hillary tried to slime him on irrelevant matters. But Obama's influence down-ticket seems to be just as palpable. Woody Jenkins down in Louisiana lost to Democrat Donald Cazayoux in a congressional election for a seat that was a Republican stronghold ever since 1974.

Many say that what lost the conservative Jenkins the seat was his campaign's effort to link Cazayoux with Obama.

Looks like that was a kamikaze effort on the Republicans part.

Oh, what a tangled web the Republicans weave--their distracting deceptions are self-defeating, thus the flaws of their policy proposals are showing.

The Limbaughs, O'Reillys and Hannitys who are salivating at the chance to perform their dirty politics on Obama could cost the Republican Party in the Fall. I would go so far as to say that they will help Obama win in November, because folks like Limbaugh can't help themselves.

In his recent piece, Gingrich listed a bunch of changes he believes the Republican Party has to implement in order to have a chance this November. Glimmers of hope he cited to show that McCain might possibly win were the recent conservative party wins in England and Italy. Gingrich states that the liberal parties in those countries have crippled their economies, therefore their citizens voted for conservatives across the board.

I think it's odd that Gingrich would compare our situation to our European counterparts', but since he did, I will suggest it seems that his theory is painfully lacking. Here in the good ol' U. S. of A., it's the conservative party that has crippled the economy. So by Newt's own logic, it should be the Democrats who take the reigns of power this election cycle.

One thing is for sure, though: the only chance the Republicans will have come November will be the result of rather or not they listen to the fortuneteller they have in Newt Gingrich.

Like most people do with Nostradamus' predictions, this is one liberal who hopes conservatives dismiss both Gingrich's predictions and warnings as being incredibly kooky and unlikely to happen. Because if that's the case, we should all start getting used to saying President Barack Hussein Obama.

I really like the sound of that.

I personally agree with this.. as I have thought in the past. The GOP will fall or change in like a 180 degree turn. I think it's inevitable.
