Anonymous Coward User ID: 69550834 United States 06/09/2023 01:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I hate dipshits who climb Mt. Everest, they only do it so they think other will admire them for climbing a stupid fucking mountain. I have no remorse for the dead up there. Everyone knows that the mountain is covered in dead bodies and used as landmarks. That stupid woman knew this, yet her self importance is such that she has to risk her life and those of tbe Sherpas so she can be "cool". Is it normal for the bodies to be sliding down like that? I get seeing them on the trail frozen and all aka hard to retrieve but sliding down like that? Creepy |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 85937377 United States 06/09/2023 02:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Women are so funking annoying. Why is she screaming & how does it help? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85937377 Why do people see that as a fun adventure instead of the freezing nightmare that it is? You could be on a beach relaxing or touring a new city, but choose to climb a mountain with the potential to freeze to death or lose your ability to breathe, yay lets go. . Tip toe through the tulips MEN have outbursts I have never seen in my life. Stop generalizing!! Many men not being able to control their lower regions is far more annoying! I won’t generalize that it’s ALL men, but it made me very glad to be a woman. When I went through my teens & decades thereafter, so many men would whistle, hoot, Hillary, stop traffic & much more ongoing! No woman minds a compliment, but there are plenty of crude & vulgar perverts with no class! I was NEVER a woman to dress inviting the response either. Today I see women that want that & dress like prostitutes… Can’t imagine! Of course my wedding ring over the decades did not deter any of them either. I can’t relate to such a lack of control. Most of them are addicted to pornography (my guess). So, many of you you men have some serious issues & without any moral compass many of you are promiscuous sex addicts!! So… Stop bashing women! . . Shut the hell up with your dear diary. You should be on reddit not GLP. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72643058 i hiked from the end of the road at katmandu into the everest region in the late 90's and it was a total clown shoe then. once up past namche bazaar the air was super thin. each night you would wind up in a sherpa lodge with the same general group of people from the previous day. there was this japanese guy who rarely ate more than several bowls of rice each evening. on one of my last nights before hiking back to lukla, the sherpa lodge was close to an alpine lake that was completely covered with snow/ice. the japanese guy was returning to the lodge from a day hike and it was already dark. we could see his headlamp from the dining room windows. he must have forgotten about the lake or assumed the snow/ice was solid enough to support him, (probably the latter), but he left the trail and made straight for the lights of the lodge, which took him across the lake. this agitated the sherpa people who ran the lodge and they were chatting urgently in nepali as we watched the head lamp move along. ultimately he broke through the ice and there was nothing anyone could do but watch the light jerk around as he thrashed and eventually died. they were able to fish him out sometime the next day, though i did not stick around for that. most of the people i saw up there, and there were a lot, were not really prepared to be there. Mount Everest ascent is on The List of so many dummies. Some people go there and LIE about their heart condition then collapse, even die. A woman died a few years ago because of her selfish egomania due to this. Some people treat their sherpas like servant monkey people. An Italian gut almost got his ass kicked for berating a sherpa last year. People leave garbage, junk, piss shit all over the mountain. All of these Top 20 Destination places are getting flooded with disrespectful ass-clowns now. Machu Pichu has been getting wrecked in recent years, word of that being closed off. Modern man doesn't deserve the Earth. We need a cataclysm like in the days of old... +1000 ! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 82816761 06/09/2023 02:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Should be no surprise to see record deaths increasing at record rate. Seeing as you would most likely have to be vaxxed to travel their, add in the low oxygen and freezing cold and it's 10x worse than what's happening to pilots. Blood probably litterly, in every sense of the word, clots and freezes in place. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80649411 United States 06/09/2023 02:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes, I think some people think climbing Everest is "safe" now with the routes all planned, etc. I am not saying I think this because I don't. It's a giant mountain covered with snow and you have to drag your oxygen with you. Idk how that can be other than dangerous. |
