Canada Wildfires Causing "very unhealthy" air quality all over the NE- 23 days later??

Doubtful that’s the case; given the area and scope of the smoke plume, the dilution of any applied toxic substance would be far too great to have much, if any effect.

AC could just mean something being sprayed directly over the U.S., which the smoke simply serves to mask. That's one of theories that's been mentioned here.

I’m in Kingston Ontario.

The air stinks.

It smells like burnt rubber, plastic and wood.

It doesnt smell like normal smoke. Theres something in it that I cant pinpoint the smell of. Some chemical smell. It leaves a nasty after taste in the mouth.

I’m pretty sure the birds, wildlife and livestock are going to be dropping dead soon if they dont stop this.

Anyone think it's advisable to drive somewhere out of this plume if you're in NYC? Thinking of driving to another state like 4-7 hours away and stay for a couple of days, but dont know if it's bad enough to pull the trigger.

This guy put together a team of retired highly experienced firefighters and offered their help to authorities. He was told thank you but no.

Looks like Canadian government is not in a rush to kill the fires.
