BREAKING: Explosion heard in DC

Holy shit, that's weird. My power blinked almost at exactly that time. Came right back on, but still. Very strange since it's clear skies, no wind, beautiful day. I'm about 300 miles from DC

So the plane that was shot down was owned by Encore Motors out of Melbourne, FL. The owners are listed as John and Barbara Rumpel.

Trump is not in office, he lost.

Looking at Flightaware, this is an older Citation V owned by a High Dollar and Muscle Car used car dealer in Florida. Makes fairly frequent trips to Elizabethtown, Tn (Lots of NASCAR Companies in that area.)

Recent flights last week suggest checking some kind of a mechanical issue??

This really looks like a pressure equalization valve issue, getting stuck open perhaps, and not being recognized by the pilot, when the descent into Long Island began.

It has happened several times before, the most famous being the Olympic Air crash in Greece, or the Payne Stewart incident.

That didn't sound like a sonic boom to me. Back in the 80s we had B1 bombers stationed nearby and they broke the sound barrier from time to time. It was always a big thunderous boom that resonated through the country side.

I suppose it could be the limitations of ring doorbell mic.
