Well, yeah.

Having two at least makes you think you have a choice vs places with only 1 party like some countries and local state/city governments do. Then you really have no choice in those places.

It is and there are. Canada is a democracy and we have a half a dozen parties. You have other as well however Amercans seem to be very shallow in political associations. simple is as simple does... mayhap educating people beyond a grade six level could help broaden your vision...

Losing the "sheeple" thing for the vast majority would help... I've never met a group of people so individually under informed about how the system works than Americans...

Why have parties? They're certainly no fun...

It's got to be harder to control but somehow they do it in Europe, same as here.

Correct - we in the U.S. and the world have a military dictatorship.

The vast majority of countries have more than two parties. In some places, like the UK, there are two dominant ones (traditionally, at least), but when people get sick of them, they can protest vote for others, and sometimes smaller parties end up being kingmakers - so it encourages compromise and negotiation.

US politics is extremely basic - kindergarten level.
