I travelled the states in 2000 for 4 months.
Visited 38 states.
Back then, the ONLY city that we visited that was beyond shit was Chicago.
Car got broken into, got mugged on the street and got spat on in the street and there was a general bad vibe.
In its defense, therewas a democrat rally going on so maybe that had something to do with it.

Best city then was Seattle , what a blast, we. didn’t want to leave.
