Just how bad things are financially won't be accepted by the masses for another 2-3 months (just a month or two after the new Federal Reserver FedNow digital currency is put into service).

Then it'll be a catastrophic dive to the bottom.

fednow is not a currency for public use, it is a transfer system for the fed to update them to be a little more competitive with the digital class. Its just them going 24/7 instead of normal banking hours with faster confirmations and fund transfers between banks. Its not a blockchain, its not a blockchain

Re: Home Depot plunges after worst revenue miss in 20 years
I have Mexican neighbors at the end of my street that tried to make money off the Housing shortage here in California!
They bought a Corner home that had some land in the back of their house.
Well they took out a loan on their home and split their land and had a new home build on the land in the back of their home (faces the street). Sounded good and the house is nice hardly any yard and it sold pretty fast for 1/2 a million!
I thought "Wow they sold it!" well after a while I drive by the newly built house and it fell out of escrow! Now they are in trouble with the loans! Now they are selling both homes and so far getting no bites due to the high interest rates!
They had an open house on their original house, decorated the entrance of their walkway with beautiful red cloth to attract buyers! (never saw they before?)
They have chairs and tables out with cookies trying to get interest in selling their house!

What to do? What a mess they are in! And they have expensive cars on their driveway! High payments! I just hope they don't suicide with their mess.

Home Depot is the Canary in the coal mine for the real estate market. It is a slow motion crash in progress. Maybe not so slow in certain areas. People who are still gambling on fix and flip need to be very seasoned as it is trying to catch a falling knife.

I was in HD just recently for something, as I passed the grills I was blown away... $800-$1500 for a grill? WTF. Even the little two burner shit ones that used to be like $200-$300 are over $500 now.

I stopped going to Home Depot and started going to Lowes when possible. Not that much better, but a little better.

The writing is on the wall and clear as day. Even people with the means to buy whatever whenever aren't paying these prices. Everyone sees the lie too, from those I've talked to. The lie that inflation was 12% for two years and 5% so far this year making everything 30% more expensive... "officially", but the prices are like 2x for many things, easy.

90 % drop in home refinancing which was often used in part for home improvement. Major drop in home equity loans due to soaring interest rates, falling home prices. Few use saving to renovate homes. Fix and flip market has dried up due to the crash in the real estate market.

Local Home Depot just got rid of all their gas-powered blowers and trimmers. Every single one.

I like Echo brand 2-cycle equipment, and they have all been removed from the shelves. Only ghey electric battery equipment remains.

2/3rds of the gas-powered lawnmowers have been replaced with ghey electric battery mowers too. Only vaxxed idiots and trans buy that shit.

Home Depot is Fucking themselves.

yep! i think you can only get gas powered online now. was looking for a echo gas chain saw and found nothing. went to wallmart and bought an off brand. fuck the new woke depot.

I cannot divulge who I work for. Just know that I spend lots of time in Home Depot distribution centers. One word, “dust”. These places are inundated with product. To the point that it is hard to do my job. When you have product that obviously is not moving, it collects dust. Why? Why have so much inventory that is not moving? Get rid of it. They spend money like there is no tomorrow. I work in lots of distribution centers. I’ve never seen anything like Home Depot.

Well sure…no one is willing to pay $10 for a $2 2”x4”. It’s outrageous.

I priced out a sandbox design that I was going to build for my kid. Once the numbers passed $200, I quit pricing right there. No way. Not going to happen.

Re: Home Depot plunges after worst revenue miss in 20 years
Here’s what’s going on but not just home depot

Revenue miss means their prediction

They based predictions on past performance

During lockdown years people had money and time to decorate homes and gardens

Big boom ensues and higher demand

People are back to normal and not spending money

Those at the top of these companies based predictions on shit staying the same

They is dummmmmm as fuck and if you work for a company like that find a new job

They predicted wrong, can’t hide poor revenue from the markets

Eventually you get found out

BINGO! I bought a 800 dollar patio set and 50 dollar sheets of treated plywood for a dock with my FREE extra pandemic unemployment. Now I do not have a pot to piss in and never had enough money to buy anything extra like a patio set in 2019 pre-pandemic either.

I would pick up 12 - 50lb bags of lawn fertilizer every year which used to average about $27 each. Now the bag is 42lbs and $57 each. Bought only three and using free horse compost now going forward.

Was that for a lawn or a golf course? chuckle

I’ve tried really hard my whole life to not be racist. There is a reason that when we bought slaves (being sold by their own families: btw) we built boats and traveled across the Atlantic Ocean. All the way to Africa. We could have very well just went to Mexico and got some. But we said, “nah, we’ll take our chances with sharks and tigers and shit.” Just pointing out facts.

Yep... and I don't get it, our property tax continues to increase. We bought in 2006 for 315K and it's now "valued" at 720K and goes up about 5K every 30 days. First of all this isn't a 720K house, secondly, it could go to 1.5 million and it wont matter, no one is gonna buy it at 8% lol.

I've been watching car guys on You Tube... one on a Hyundai / Kia lot... a Sorento is like $55K now. What's wild is BMW and Mercedes prices haven't really gone up much from 2019. But Jeep is trying to sell Grand Cherokees for $70K. Clown world.

That's not how inflation works but I understand what you're trying to say. Interest is compounding so try that again.

Imagine if they told you the truth about inflation like that it is 25%. It really did hit 25% last year and is now running at 18%. But if they told you that... That would collapse everything. So they lie because they must. That's what happens to a corrupt empire.

Total clown world.

We could be headed for 10-12 year car loans and 50 year mortgages. They want to avoid deflation at any cost. At this point, everything become effectively a rental with such long loans.
