Re: Holy Spirit showed me what the unforgivable sin is
I was thinking about a pastor that was told from the Lord about different people's sins and confronting them about it in the pulpit and they getting saved. I was wondering where he got his power from when immediately I was shown standing on the foot of a precipice that I was about to go over. In other words if there is a man of God that has power from the Lord and you give the enemy credit for it that you have committed the unforgivable sin. Read Matthew chapter 12

Your thesis is very possible my friend, I believe the unforgivable sin is rejecting the Gospel, thus rejecting the Father,Son & Holy Spirit

Re: Holy Spirit showed me what the unforgivable sin is
My input,

Jesus said it is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (his soul), and didn't say blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, that is unforgivable.

Why would he say that blasphemy against his soul, and not his Spirit which is God and Creator of all, is unforgivable? I can only reason about it, that perhaps they knowing God is good, but they were accusing him of being a child of Satan, that his soul was of Satan, a child of the Deceiver. You and I know that the soul is not evil, that all things are pure, it is the choice of sin that is evil.

Regarding your vision, I'd say Jesus was warning you that you were dangerously close to crossing a line, that through your pondering you didn't leave it at 'IDK', but felt that you needed to make a decision about him (which you didn't), and in doing so was not righteous judgment. And if you had made that quick judgment call, knowing that you didn't know, you'd have made a false accuser out of yourself because you'd probably want someone to know what you believe about him. And yet the law of God is to not speak evil of others, which thing you would have been led to do. So Jesus constrained you.

What you can do in the future is just open your mouth and sincerely inquire of Jesus, letting him know your thoughts and feelings, what you discern, all of your reasoning, lay it out on the table, and then let him guide you from there.

I lean toward the belief that the sin that leads to death is willful disobedience, in which case we know the person is wilfully disobedient because we have already tried to minister to them and rebuke them but they don't want it, and the unforgivable sin is to accuse Jesus of being of Satan, not of the flesh but of the soul, as he said, all manner of blasphemy spoken against his flesh shall be forgiven, but *they* had a better understanding of body soul and spirit and were accusing him of being a child of Satan, having an evil container in his flesh. They accused him falsely saying he casts out demons by his god/father Satan. Notice how later on Jesus accused them rightly of being of their father god Satan, but not of the soul, neither of the flesh, but of their spirit, that is, their will, which was then choosing agreement with the one who opposed God from the beginning. They distanced themselves by their understanding, beliefs, words, and actions, so then not being of the truth, and of the love, and of the life, and of the peace, and of the will, and of the true Spirit of God, they made themselves enemies of their Father, choosing Satan as their god.

It is true, that to believe and declare that the goodness the Holy Spirit is doing by the Holy Ghost with or through a person is evil, is a lie against him, aka blasphemy.

What if someone says that they did something that they thought was good being done by God with them even though it wasn't true? They weren't accusing the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost of evil, but it wasn't done by God. Still unforgivable blasphemy?

Woe to those who call good evil and evil good!

Considering the role of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit is the opposite equivalent (but not equal opposite) of demons in a person. The demons in a person have no manifesting power until or unless Satan powers them up. The opposite equivalent (but not equal opposite) of Satan, the unholy ghost, is the Holy Ghost. Now although the Holy Ghost is the soul of God and in Jesus, the Holy Ghost was also upon him (and this has been debate for centuries among scholars whether Jesus had a soul). Now it's becoming clear to me, that *they* were not saying his soul was evil, but that the ghost that was powering him was the unholy ghost and not the Holy Ghost. They were indirectly speaking of his own soul but still the Holy Ghost.

So I say the vision and understanding is true, which is why we are not to speak evil of others, and sometimes good acts are actually deception, but we aren't to be suspicious as Jesus will warn us when the real threat of danger is come.

The pharisees accused Jesus of doing miracles through demons.

Then Jesus gave His house divided talk.

And let them know, in mo uncertain terms, that calling God/the Holy Spirit evil was unforgivable.

Be careful with this, i have seen many people who claim "God showed me" approach. They then proceed to say something completely contradictory to the entire Bible.

Imagine being under the influence of something, like everybody, then claiming God is talking to you? If anything it is NOT God.... The Holy Spirit will speak to you through the Word.

Re: Holy Spirit showed me what the unforgivable sin is
The Holy Spirit IS TRUTH.

Isaiah 59:13-21

13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

Paul was in agreement that their works were of Satan, and they were evil, and blasphemers, thereby blaspheming Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost. Jesus rebuked him and said he must suffer many things for it. So what does it mean to not be forgiven in the "world to come"? Is Paul going to be cast into the lake of fire? He sure he wasn't going to be.

Psalm 86:11-15
King James Version

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

He forgets the former things before the new creation, so even the blasphemy has to be forgotten. I'm pretty sure Jesus is telling me this is the case, the world to come is the new life in Christ, he remembers that blasphemy.

There is a trade off, though, though he remembers it and therefore gives that person a harder life. I believe that they know him, or can know him better.

The Law, then Jesus saves but, but only mostly saves except for blasphemy but what does that mean, so because of this sentence Christ means nothing.

All of it, this silly game, keeps one in judgement, always wondering what is up, down, left and right, leaving no room for any foundation.

I'm only saved if I believe in this guy who lived 2000 years ago but even if I believe if somebody comes to me and I misread them I am doomed. Peace that passes all understanding with this backdrop is laughable.

The Holy Spirit is a holy interface gifted by God and is purposed as an interpreter, a teacher, a communicator, a guide, a comforter, a healer, a conduit for blessings and miracles.

Blasphemy can be thought of as disrespecting, defaming, scoffing, mocking, cursing, defiling and abusing.

Blasphemy of Jesus and Father God isn't the same as blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
