Further queries to the Democrat revealed THEY didn't know the name of the NYC DA (Bragg), didn't know the NYC DA is an elected position in government, and didn't know that Bragg had campaigned on putting Trump in jail...which makes this nothing more than the NYC DA fulfilling a political promise made to Democrats...like the moron I was engaging. The Democrat did not know that it was a grand jury that returned the indictments against Trump, all they knew was that he had paid off a prostitute. The Democrat did not know about statutes of limitations or how the DA twisted up some laws together that really don't belong together, and that separately, they do not rise to the point of being a felony. The Democrat did not know that Trump was polling ahead of all candidates for the 2024 Presidential election and did not regard this indictment as 3rd world political malfeasance. The Democrat and I are still friends, but the relationship is strained now because I admitted to voting for Trump two times and that I am going to vote for him again. The Democrat asked me why I support Trump. Now you know why the conversation lasted an additional 85-minutes. Christ taught us NOT to cast our pearls (of wisdom) before Swine. Seekinginformation |

Pointed out that according to the latest IRS stats, the top 1% paid 48% of all taxes, and the top 10% paid 72% of all taxes. The bottom 40% paid zero in taxes. Not to mention the Covid emergency tax “rebates” in our state, which I didn’t qualify for since I make too much, went to people that didn’t pay a single cent in taxes. Asked what he thought was fair? Just the blank look, then “Well, the privileged just have so much.” Le sigh. |

I said black males are 8% of the population and 95% of the NBA. I think whites, asians and latinos are severely underrepresented in the NBA...Maybe black guys are just good at basketball? She has become very conservative over time, I am still conservative but less reactionary and prone to outrage than in my younger years.. Both have their place but their needs to be a balance. People who follow conservative principles will be less likely to introduce problems in their life. Progressives want to allow people to make these mistakes and look after them when things go wrong. They believe no one is to be shamed for poor choices while conservatives try to prevent poor choices. |
