It gave me an incorrect first name

And incorrect birth date and death date

And then a bio with someone of a similar name

If it ain't on Wikipedia

Be careful where ChatGPT 3.5 is pulling their information from

Then I asked about Henmon

And it gave me complete wrong information about him

What you want is a feedback loop so the bot can check his answers before replying. So it don’t say something stupid.

I did a couple checks and kept spitting out wrong answers

I had to pull up a UNI newspaper from the 1950s to get the correct answers I was looking for

It's called an "AI Hallucination"

Happens a lot. When I was doing research, it created a bibliography entry for an article out of thin air. Real professor, real journal, plausible article name, completely fake. I even emailed the professor. She confirmed it was a complete fiction.

For example.. List 50 people who were involved in creating intelligence tests

Then if they are on the list I may enquire more about each one

Sometimes it's spot on

Other times it makes you desiring more

So in essence I use ChatGPT to narrow large data sets

So I get the large scope vision of things
