All THREE leaving Pearl within 24 hours of each other indicates to me that "something" is up, particularly since the one on the converted oil drilling platform just arrived in Pearl 3 weeks agos for "Maintenance and Upgrades" after two continuous years at sea.

Three weeks is NOT enough time to do anything to the platform itself wrt rust etc., and unless exceptionally well planned out any electronic upgrades would also take longer than thee weeks.

My personal "Alert Level" just went up a notch.

Well that's a nice big electronic emission signature that will eat a hypersonic missel the 1st day it's turned on for real. Most military ships won't survive the first 2 weeks when the big war starts. Too many modern weapons will take them out pretty quickly, sure they can defend themselves to a point but when attacked by 3 or 4 high tech maneuverable missiles coming at you, you're done. Russia lost 3 flag ships in the Black Sea already.
