I checked APMEX, JM Bullion, and one other local site. All running thin, but premiums of physical over spot are still not rising.

Very interesting.

Gold just popped $2000 and silver is over $23.15

But that's just a paper tiger

The ratio is so out of proportion it's almost as comical as the spot prices

Either way their game is going to end, probably a lot sooner than later

$46.98 for 1 silver eagle to your doorstep from JMbullion

Spot price is $23

That's insane

Buying silver eagles is insane. Why do poople buy them? You hardly get any premium when you sell them and they say "dollar" on them which is owned by the fed reserve. I guess a fool is born every minute. Just buy bullion.

Silver Eagles are legal tender in the United States. They will be money, again. Rounds, etc, won't be.

"AUSTIN, Texas (March 21, 2023) – Bills introduced in the Texas House and Senate would create a state-issued, gold-backed digital currency.

Enactment of this legislation would create an option for people to transact business in sound money, set the stage to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money, and possibly create a viable alternative to a central bank digital currency (CBDC)."

The comptroller would also be required to create a mechanism to use this gold-backed digital currency in everyday transactions."

Gold Backed? Digital? What could go wrong? Power outages? Corruption? Hacking? States like UT, WY, SD, NV, have whats called "goldbacks". Real in your hand money with total privacy and security. More and more small biz are accepting these as money. Eagles not so much.

Why have gold backed anything we already have physical coins.

The dual monetary system that we have in place could be used.

Our coins are already in use and in circulation.
The bills that should be introduced are ones requiring 100% capitalization.

Premiums are still very high for eagles. Comex only has enough registered deliverable stock to cover a little over one years worth of eagle mintage. Let that sink in a bit. That’s just eagles…. Last I checked they had about 34 million oz that are deliverable.
