I think I figured out why these glasses affect one's mental state. They trick our eyes to think we are asleep by blocking out or reducing sunlight, thus inducing a hypnogenic mental state. In other words, by filtering out natural light, the glasses cause you to enter a trance like state similar to sleep and dream. The glasses are for all intents and purposes, a "drug."

I only like blue, pink, and purple lenses.

I am not fond of the purple or the light tints. Their effects are negligible; with the light tint, there isn't much of a difference between the shaded and outside view.

The ones I find to intensify what is viewed and alter the mind are the red (my favorite), brown, orange and dark blue. The rest are just too lightly tinted.

When I wear the red, I think I am in a different reality, see people differently; it feels like you are disengaged from reality. Hard to explain, but if you ever did drugs, it has a similar effect.
