Re: Covid Vaccine - Do You Regret Your Decision?
Never took the vaccine but wound up getting
the virus. Was just like a bad flu.
We're in our seventies but in good health
otherwise, and haven't been sick since.
That was almost two years ago now.

Many of our knucklehead friends and relatives
got the jabs and STILL got the virus,
MULTIPLE TIMES!!!

IDIOTS!

A few have had health problems now that they
never had before and of course the doctors
are BAFFLED.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80119818

We have an older friend who got the 2 jabs and got blood clots in her lungs. Had to have surgery and put on blood thinners. Then got the booster. She is still around but her hair is falling out now.

Re: Covid Vaccine - Do You Regret Your Decision?
FACT: When Covid hit people died, horribly, inside ICU with staff attending their every need. It affects people differently with flu or cold symptoms - but some caught the new superbug strain and died. Why some are more suspectable to the virus will depend on the targeted engineering behind the strain that was released. Assume this was the old folks strain designed to kill those on Medicare. Maybe the next strain released will kill the gays - then it's going to get pretty quiet on glp.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78801416

It took over a year to get the shots out and by that time most if not all had been exposed or had covid. The deaths were dropping. No need for the shots. Sicknesses started to rise after the shots.

Funny to me people who say "I took the shot awhile ago and I'm fine now", or "I haven't had any side effects - felt kind of weird first few days but that's it."

Do you not understand that the likely long-term side effects from the vaccine won't even be noticeable for several more years?

This is one of the many reasons why I never once considered the jab. We have NO idea the long-term effects from the clot shot, and we're just now seeing young people suddenly drop dead.

Give this 5,10,15 more years and we'll truly see what this vaxx is all about.
 Quoting: P.S.

there are no confirmed long term side effects from the vaccine. its mere speculation for now. Covid however is confirmed as having lingering side effects, "long haul-." The vaccine is temporary, it has a shelf life (couple months lasting effects) which is why they keep renewing booster shots to keep it active in our bodies.
 Quoting: Rev El Haitian

The problem is they lie. You don’t know what is in those vials. And now the jabbed have to deal with covid plus the jabs.

Re: Covid Vaccine - Do You Regret Your Decision?
If you had a covid vaccine, do you regret your decision?

If you had no covid vaccine, do you regret your decision?
 Quoting: ElleMira

Let me preface this by saying that I am stridently anti-vaccine. I have been from the start. I will be until the end. I was in a situation where my wife's family began to pressure us heavily to get vaccinated. So, my wife finally caved and let me know that she had decided to go ahead and get vaccinated to prevent a complete family war. Rather than leave her to do this by herself, I went ahead and got vaccinated with her (original series, Pfizer). This was July 2021.

Literally the night I got my second shot, I had something very strange happen. I had a cyst on my back that I had had for years suddenly turn red and swell up to the point that 2 days later I was at urgent care having it drained. They told me at the time that if it gave me further issues to see a dermatologist. Fast forward to January 2022, my wife suddenly has a bout of symptomatic tachycardia (rapid heart rate). She ended up in the emergency room and ultimately got diagnosed with hyperthryoidism and some other autoimmune/endocrinological issues, completely out of left field.

Right around Christmas, the cyst on my back started acting up again so I made a dermatologist appointment. I saw her recently and had her do a general skin check as well as looking at the cyst. The skin check, thankfully, was clear. She looked at the cyst and said that it could possibly be a basal cell carcinoma. She biopsied it and I should know something pretty much any day now. The good thing is, if it IS cancer, basal cell carcinoma typically has a very good prognosis and should not be much more than an inconvenience.

Thankfully, my wife and I have not gotten boosters...nor will we be. I don't KNOW that any of the issues we have had since getting the vaccine have anything to do with the vaccine, but I highly suspect that to be the case. If I do end up with cancer it is going to be very hard for me not to harbor major resentment against her family. Now, they have all been vaxxed and boosted to the max and her sister has had to have a hysterectomy due to uterine cancer since getting it and her dad has had a minor heart attack since then.

So, word of advice here is to stand strong if you are getting pressured to get the shot. It is not worth it. We both hugely regret caving in to family pressure.
 Quoting: Georgia Geoprepper

Sorry to hear all that has happened, but I have to ask why in the world would you cave to family pressure? Was there inheritance isuues involved, written out of will issues or what?
 Quoting: The Don Of Nantucket

I didn’t care if I got dropped by all friends and family. Almost did by one I really loved. Broke my heart. But I still wouldn’t cave. That one is coming around. I can heal an emotionally broken heart. But a mRNA damaged one is another story.

To the guy who caved to the "vax" and got a possibly cancerous cyst because his wife caved to family pressure because the whole family are idiots: DON'T LISTEN TO WOMEN. You should be guiding her, most women will go along with the herd and need strong male guidance to avoid disaster. I say this as a woman. I've seen other women who actually realized that the "vax" is bad, cave because of family pressure. Personally I say FUCK 'EM because I can't stand stupid people, but I'm unusual.

There is a lot of disinfo around the vax. All of our family took it and they also all got COVID. It was nothing more than a cold for them. However we did have 3 people pass in the last few years after getting the vax 2 of which were found dead on their sofas. The third was old and had preexisting health conditions that were exacerbated but it's hard to say it was the vax as he was already very old.

I wanted to edit to say it really seems to me that it's like a roulette type thing. I don't know that for sure it's just my take after bearing witness to it.

There is a lot of propaganda on both sides and some that run parallel to very negative group thinking and it's hard to know what truth is these days. It is however imperative to not let others fool you into their dangerous propaganda that involves hate in any direction.

Re: Covid Vaccine - Do You Regret Your Decision?
Took the J&J in April 2021, wouldn’t have done it had the job not forced my hand.

No Booster or anything since.

Haven’t had Covid yet, been exposed countless times, extended exposure too. No symptoms, no issues.

Didn’t let the kids take it, they’ve been fine took no Covid in my household at all. Public schools, extracurricular activities etc, normal suburban lifestyle ( my wife is a stay at home mom).

Security and financial safety for the family was my motivation, regret it, no it was a decision I made and will stick to because it’s allowed me and my family to prosper.

I would regret running a red light and getting into an accident, that’s something I controlled. Taking a medicine to keep my house in order while most of the world was burning, that’s a choice I’d make again if I had to.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81079503

It isn’t right letting the government and your boss to decide your medical care. It’s wrong. And you could have been disabled or killed by the shot. You should regret it. And you shouldn’t let something like that happen again. Don’t let a job rule your life.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85187463

I understand your opinion, I don’t agree with it, but I still can relate.

My job is a lifestyle, career choice that my family has had to burden and prosper from since my wife and I met.

Life’s all about choices, whether we like it or not we let the Govt and our bosses decide things for every day. It’s ok to have your own “line in the sand” as we all should, nobody should ever be forced (or accept instructions to ) to do something unethical, illegal or even just good old fashioned shady. This is where personal integrity comes into play.

But to associate taking the vax to keep your job, especially at the park of this thing vs keeping your home and family afloat is just a meek minded statement. Yes, we have our choices, I made mine and stand by it. Doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it, but I know it was right for me and my family and that is what matters more than anything else.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80094331

My cousin works in the healthcare industry - he didn't want to get the jabs but has a wife and 3 kids. She's a stay at home mom and is homeschooling their kids. He made the sacrifice, took the jabs, rolled the dice to support his family and so far, so good. He's a good husband and father.

For many, this was not an easy choice - a choice that should have never been forced on people. Sometimes we have to make hard choices to take care of our children. I'm angry that people were forced to choose between the 2 - take the jabs or lose their means to support their family.
 Quoting: ElleMira

They didn’t make the illegals take it. Nor any fast food workers. Or minimum wage workers. They knew they would walk out. The working poor told them to stick it. They also didn’t jab the homeless. And they did it get sick and die. Many were given hotel rooms. Most with a high paying job or university students got the mandate.

Better to live below one’s means so you do not have to let the government or your boss decide your health care treatments. And use religious exemptions. No education or job is worth your health.

100% agrees with your opinion.

I Had to fly and travel with a DOT letter saying I was an “essential worker”. Not tooting a horn, but I remember how dislocate the world was for a while. I kicked the can for as long as I could, saw the J&J shot as the least invasive option and did it. I would have never done it voluntary, but as you referenced, we had to make uneasy choices to keep our affairs and household in order.

My biggest dislike is the negativity people who didn’t take chances, didn’t put themselves out there to keep the lights on who try and shame others that did.

The west critics are those that never criticize themselves.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80094331

As long as those who took the jabs don’t shame those who didn’t I don’t have a problem with them. I don’t shake those who did. Just tell them to be very careful with their health in the future and to live below their means so they can walk out if this happens again.

I did not take it and thank God I didn't. My brother did and got a severe auto-immune intestinal disorder from it.

Sadly, I just lost my next door neighbors/friends who were up visiting in Long Island which started with the brother of one who was in the hospital. The sister went to see him and despite Vaxed, she got covid from being in the hospital and was put on a vent. Now the other neighbor, also vaxed goes to LI and also got covid in the hospital and put on a vent. They both died last December and both were vaxed.

Even Bill f-ing Gates is now saying the vax is useless and it is now blatantly obvious the vax has substantial and deadly adverse effects.

I have only a glimmer of hope those responsible will face justice.

It's sad how many people are still deathly afraid. I have a friend who is a prominent food writer for a Canadian newspaper. He's authored a few cookbooks, writes about the food scene and the restaurants in his city. I was shocked when he shared that he and his wife went out to eat at a restaurant in December - being their first time eating out at a restaurant since this whole covid fiasco. He described their experience as being fearful - 3 years later - and they're fully 'vaccinated' and boosted. How the heck can someone be a food writer, whose passion it is to dine out at different restaurants, and not step foot in a restaurant for 3 years?
 Quoting: ElleMira

The psyop worked well. Some people now have lifelong fear of a virus, which no one has even isolated. Fear of an invisible enemy..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79022562

We can see how many people run on fear. Found out in my own family. Went out to eat and the waitress wasn’t wearing a mask and the person I was with almost had a complete breakdown. Started crying. Had to tell the waitress she wasn’t feeling well and to get our food to go. At least she didn’t have a meltdown on the waitress. I got her out of there fast. We have some mentally and emotionally unhinged people around us. She even had the two shots. But amazingly didn’t get the boosters. She did see people still getting sick. The government did a great job with freaking people out. And the hospitals for listing everything as covid because of greed. And killing people.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83962627

Yes. There's a 'covid support' thing on redditt where readers describe their absolute terror being around unmasked people. One woman described how she had a panic attack on a bus seeing how many were unmasked and sniffling, coughing, etc. Another describes how they still lysol everything that comes into her home.

Most won't regret it, they'll still to blind to see it.

A coworker's girlfriend is out of the ER after 3days for myocarditis. She now has 3 inhalers to use daily. He says the docs claim there is no real treatment and it's incredibly rare. The docs also blamed it on vaping, she's 23.....

And I want to say something... but what would be the point? Nothing they can do but slowly die off :(

The only way to ward against this is to put your health above everything else’s. I understand parents who were coerced to get the jabs to see their children in the hospital though. Those who made them choose will have hell to pay. But live below your means so you can tell a job to F off. And don’t put most family or friends above you.

Re: Covid Vaccine - Do You Regret Your Decision?
I can understand most people's perspective on this. When the vaccines first dropped, nobody knew with any real certainty how effective or risky they would be. Much like the first several months of the pandemic, it was a crapshoot and most people were just trying to make the best decision for themselves and family. With pressure coming from every direction (the government, anti-vaxxers and "coronaphobics"), the freedom to make that decision was never going to be "uncontaminated".

That said, I'm blown away at how some in the "conspiracy theory" community seem to think they were all-knowing from the very beginning and if you disagreed with them then and now, you are a _____-tard. Hindsight is 20/20, and even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Congratulations, you got through a very difficult time going against the mainstream. I don't think that gives you the right to critique other people who chose a different path and ended up at a different place that they now regret. That kind of finger-pointing is no different from the societal pressures that we have to deal with daily from the woke-left.
 Quoting: Winter Soldier

For most of my adult life, I've had a healthy distrust of Big Pharma and the government.

Is this really a case of "hingsight is 20/20...even a broken clock is right twice a day"? The Big Pharma/government collusion has been evident for decades:

-lobbyists, K street, corporate/government revolving door (FDA corrupted. ACA lobbyist architect Liz Fowler and Obama, etc)

-Donald Rumsfeld, CEO pharma Searle, Monsanto, FDA scandal

-CIA flooding our cities with crack (LA, Rick Ross, Gary Webb)

-deep state cocaine smuggling into our nation (Barry Seal, Mena Arkansas, Gov Bill Clinton, George Bush)

-opioid epidemic, FDA/Big Pharma/Healthcare pushing 'non habit forming' opioids onto population

-military industrial complex, military guarding poppy fields in Afghanistan, Chinese working with Mexican cartel to flood our nation with fentanyl across our wide open border, etc.

I could go on but I find it hard to believe that anyone can place their trust in these institutions. I didn't even get started on Bill Gates and his track record of poisoning our food (Monsanto), global vaccine injuries and his countless remarks on depopulation.

I'm not blaming the people who took the jabs. I get it, people were scared, looked towards pharma, their government, Bill Gates and anyone else with an established platform for guidance (thanks in large part to our government run MSM - that's another area of blatant corruption spanning decades).

I worry about my adult children who took the jabs. Most of us are worried about our loved ones right now. There is nothing 'congratulatory' about any of this. I'd like to see people wake up, get outraged and demand something be done about this. How much more time needs to go by where the inured are gaslighted and their injuries are not addressed?
 Quoting: ElleMira

I was talking to another friend last night, someone who criticized Obama care as being a racket and she's had a distrust of the healthcare system in general. She took the jabs and regrets it.

What I found shocking in our conversation is when she said "nobody knew" and that we shouldn't blame people who were afraid of the unvaccinated because "they were scared and taking precautions". This is when I could feel blood boiling - she's aware of how certain family members shunned me and continue to shun me over this fake "vaccine". She's also aware of how everyone who was not taking it cited numerous reasons and sources as to why this whole thing is BigPharma/Government racket and she accused them of being 'crazy conspiracy theorists'.

I've come to the conclusion these people will never admit they were wrong. They will make excuses and still call those who warned them 'crazy conspiracy theorists'. My patience has worn out and am done.
