Quoting: Kamchatka The only vax I've had in the last 20 or so years was a 2-part pneumonia vax several years ago. I'm in my 70s and pneumonia has a FAR better chance of killing me than whatever the "pandemic" was. AND pneumonia is bacterial, which makes a difference. Almost no one dies OF influenza. They die WITH influenza because they were weakened and got pneumonia. I did have something that tripped the Covid meter in January last year, but it was mild and it walked right in my front door in the form of my idiot BIL who felt sick, so he came visiting. I only tested because my husband's boss was terminally ill and was justifiably paranoid about exposure to anything. The only vax I would consider at this point is rabies if I get bitten by a proven rabid animal or possibly tetanus with the appropriate wound. Is it closed? I didn't close it. |

I was exposed to the delta variant and didn’t get it, got omicron 8 months later and it was mild, and haven’t been sick at all since then. Quoting: Gargantuan Tarantula The same here but without the injections: exposes to absolutely everything (no mask, no avoiding people), got mild flu (never took a covid test) just like every other year. If you believe the injections protected you, then by the same logic I believe avoiding them protected me. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81079503 No Booster or anything since. Haven’t had Covid yet, been exposed countless times, extended exposure too. No symptoms, no issues. Didn’t let the kids take it, they’ve been fine took no Covid in my household at all. Public schools, extracurricular activities etc, normal suburban lifestyle ( my wife is a stay at home mom). Security and financial safety for the family was my motivation, regret it, no it was a decision I made and will stick to because it’s allowed me and my family to prosper. I would regret running a red light and getting into an accident, that’s something I controlled. Taking a medicine to keep my house in order while most of the world was burning, that’s a choice I’d make again if I had to. It isn’t right letting the government and your boss to decide your medical care. It’s wrong. And you could have been disabled or killed by the shot. You should regret it. And you shouldn’t let something like that happen again. Don’t let a job rule your life. |

In the middle of typing this i realized this is probably a troll.....blah. |

My job is a lifestyle, career choice that my family has had to burden and prosper from since my wife and I met. Life’s all about choices, whether we like it or not we let the Govt and our bosses decide things for every day. It’s ok to have your own “line in the sand” as we all should, nobody should ever be forced (or accept instructions to ) to do something unethical, illegal or even just good old fashioned shady. This is where personal integrity comes into play. But to associate taking the vax to keep your job, especially at the park of this thing vs keeping your home and family afloat is just a meek minded statement. Yes, we have our choices, I made mine and stand by it. Doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it, but I know it was right for me and my family and that is what matters more than anything else. |

Probably why I haven’t been sick at all. Quoting: Gargantuan Tarantula We'll talk at the morgue. Yes, we have our choices, I made mine and stand by it. Doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it, but I know it was right for me and my family and that is what matters more than anything else. My cousin works in the healthcare industry - he didn't want to get the jabs but has a wife and 3 kids. She's a stay at home mom and is homeschooling their kids. He made the sacrifice, took the jabs, rolled the dice to support his family and so far, so good. He's a good husband and father. For many, this was not an easy choice - a choice that should have never been forced on people. Sometimes we have to make hard choices to take care of our children. I'm angry that people were forced to choose between the 2 - take the jabs or lose their means to support their family. |
