Yes, really. A 2014 promise to have 40% of the force be represented by ethnic minorities by 2023 has fallen well short, with just 17% of officers being from ‘diverse’ backgrounds. Matt Parr, the head of the organization responsible for inspecting British police forces, told the that London, “which will likely be a minority white city in the next decade or so, should not be policed by an overwhelmingly white police force.” In addition to the optics of a largely white police force being wrong, Parr said it was also, “operationally wrong, because it means that the Met does not get insight into some of the communities it polices and that has caused problems in the past. So we completely support the drive to make the Met much more representative of the community it serves than it is at the moment.” That drive has however led to officers being hired who struggle to even write up basic crime reports. When is his election? He seems to have been there forever . The police need a complete sorting out . Maybe they should seek advice from an old GOOD at his job retired policeman for opinion . It is not so much write English but be able to behave like the police did when the met was good . The whole government run establishment has been overrun by paperwork . Definitely the teachers .I have seen the difference from the past where teachers were effective and later when they moaned about paperwork ….back in the day they had quick reading tests ,times table and spelling tests they wrote down .Later I heard they had mountains oh waffle . The deterioration started in the late sixties ……… people from NHS have mentioned this too and I expect the police … I blame having too many graduates and not enough can do people . I call too much paper work …..paper shuffling generally full of waffle ..which no one reads … All those useless in between civil servants ..I expect who never read the rubbish they ask for … Oooops just started ranting ..sorry. |
