Re: Does this happen to anyone else just before falling asleep?
I use to see faces when I had my eyes closed at night, usually spooky demonic faces that looked like white chalk drawings on a black chalk Board. The faces intensified dramatically if I sneezed or squeezed my eyelids tighter together.
I did live a n a house that was full of demons and they would hear them talking in muddled conversations amongst them selves. I am squally couldn’t make out what they were saying, always in a foreign language and muffled through the walls. Nobody would be around and all in my house would be asleep long into the night when this would happen. It kept me up for many hours with severe insomnia.

Re: Does this happen to anyone else just before falling asleep?
I’ve seen this too. Doesn’t happen a lot. But it has happened for a long time. It’s always white shapes and designs. Shapes/designs that I can’t describe because they don’t exist that I know of. Like super advanced geometry. A different thing that happens is I feel like everything is huge and I’m just this tiny little speck and everything around me is massive and it is almost overwhelming trying to put it into perspective. Both these things only happen the first few minutes when I’m starting to fall asleep and don’t last very long.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 85174745

When I was younger, I used to be able to do this "zoom out" thing when I was talking to people.

The only way to describe it is that while looking directly at them, I could make it seem like I was zooming out and they would appear to get extremely small.

One time, I was talking to my mom who was no more than a few feet away from me. I "zoomed out" until her face was about the size of a thumbnail at arm's length.
 Quoting: Scios

I used to be able to "feel" like my body was shrinking but my head stayed really large. It made me feel kind of "oogy" and sick to my stomach so I stopped.

Once when having a very stressful time in my life (military training)/and had a "nightmare" dream where I zoomed in so close on a person's face it went to the microscopic level of a hair and pore on their chin.
 Quoting: joav19

Interesting...yes, I remember feeling this as a kid. It was weird, but strangely felt "good." I often wish I could experience it again. I vaguely remember feeling like I was a much larger being at the time...like huge rather than being a kid. Odd...hf

My bedroom is pitch black at night, no windows, power indicator lights on, just pure darkness.

Because of the darkness, I often will lie on my back and just do slow relaxing breathing and open my eyes just before I fall asleep. About 1 to 3 times a week, when doing this, images will light up about 5 ft from my eyes, almost like a low glow of a tv screen, and I will then in that glow see complex mathematical formulas, or scenes from somewhere around the world, it’s like watching a video. Years past, it used to alway be just old peoples faces, but distorted faces like peasant faces in medieval times, the faces shifting to different ones, women, men, almost looked like they were made of greyish smoke.

Strange stuff.

Anyone else have this happen?
 Quoting: LTHN.

I can do this and I will see like a small florisent blue dolphin swim around like 3d VR, it's crazy

I use to distract myself and make it go away but now I will just focus on it and watch it

I also see people like Watchung a movie, sometimes people I know but most times strangers

They could be in the future or past

The weirdest thing that ever happened was I saw this blue tornado thing, I watched it and then it surrounded my while body and I was in the center of it and it was blue ever where

I layer there in awe, then I just passed out and fell asleep

Great feedback, thanks much all for these interesting stories.

Very interesting! Thanks for starting this thread.

I've seen these light images, numbers and shapes just as I am falling asleep.

Usually I can see what is going on in the spiritual realm around me. "Around me" is sometimes on the other side of the world though.

I have seen local animistic spirits, people attempting remote viewing, satanic gatherings, people praying. It is often disorganized like flipping through radio channels. Sometimes I'll stop on one "channel" and look more closely.

Once I saw a moving piece of music that was the mathematical shape of infinity, but also had interior golden section spirals, all moving and reconnecting.

The music was 4-D - for lack of a better description (included Time). It flowed in and out of itself.

The setting was outer space, and as I observed the musical shape, I saw stars and planets within it, and came to realize I was seeing a depiction of existence in a musical-math form.

Wow, what a brilliant thing to see and experience!!!!

Here is a video of what it was like for this man when he had hypnagognic hallucinations one night, wait until you get through the still images for his experience to start. It starts at about the 1:36 mark. Very cool video!

Lets take this up..or left a notch.

Do you also hear between 2-5AM what sounds like two men sitting at monitors in an adjacent hard surfaced room, quietly discussing what they are observing on the monitor?
 Quoting: Zell Xan

Sometimes I do hear them. I have the kitchen fan on always for 'white noise' as it helps me sleep and sometimes the quiet here can be deafening.

Around the times you mentioned, it will suddenly seem like the two men you mentioned are sitting around discussing something as if they are on the radio, casually chatting about stuff.

It's weird AF.

Lying in bed at night I hear voices conversing while the furnace fan is running.

So, I keep a light on, small lamp, with a veil over it to muffle it when I lay on that side.

And the hallway light on with door open, that used to suffice but my closet is dark and not only have had alarming stuff just prior to sleep, from the dark corner, but also physically been touched so, light on solved that problem.

This area has a lot of underground reptilian type dumbs which we hope with our sightings are being cleaned up, but I'm not holding my breath, will wait to see real results and only that counts not ufologists words.

So you're brave soul IMO, don't like the dark myself. However what you've said yes, the glow, well when the power was out and trying to get to candles in the kitchen someone was shining a light in that area, no one was there. A really strong light. It was probably to help but it scared the crap out of me.

I will drape something over my forhead on the side when sleeping if I want to get into meditation in my semi lit room, and things do happen whether its dark or light.

Re: Does this happen to anyone else just before falling asleep?
I used to have a place down on the Yucatan that was on the site of an ancient Mayan city, and intuitively I knew there was a large carved crystal buried nearby. The carved crystal was used to store information, and I tapped into the information to look at it. I had no idea what I was looking at because I had no frame of reference, but there was a lot of geometric shapes, I guess like formulas, and things like plans for interplanetary travel, and how to accomplish it. I remember looking at a device that was in a room on top of a pyramid, and there were men standing around it using their minds to activate the device, and transport things from a different planet, possibly people.

I'm very aware of energy, and sometimes spirits. One solstice morning I was participating in a Mayan solstice ritual at the Tulum pyramid, and I became aware of a spirit that was taking energy away from the offerings in the center of the ring of people, about 100 people. I didn't like what I saw so I connected my energy to a person standing directly across from me and broke the circular energy, which was focusing energy to the offerings. This upset the spirit, and it went back up to the top of the pyramid, and I maintained a connection to the spirit, and followed it when it beamed back to the planet it had came from. It seemed very excited when it got home, and told others that it had found me, like it knew who I was.

Possibly I was some powerful mystic on another world because I've encountered other seers/mystics/intuitives that seem to think I'm something special, but I've never thought so, because I know there's much more powerful souls than myself.

I see kaleidoscope like images. Very complicated and colorful.

If I’m in a hotel with popcorn ceilings and not totally dark I see all kinds of images to include faces or things that look like old time black and white, no sound movies.

Sometimes I jump as I fall asleep. Anyone else do that?

Could be third eye, could be remote viewing. However, how is your vision? There is a medical condition caused by visual issues that are themselves caused by diseases such as diabetes. It's called Charles Bonnet Syndrome and a lot of people who have this describe seeing exactly what you are describing. I don't know, though, if this happens while eyes open in light or in darkness.

I have a cool app on my phone called 'lumenate' that triggers this. It makes your phone flashlight flash in patterns that stimulate different parts of your brain (not good for epileptics), but you view it through closed eyelids and you can see colors and patterns and I see equations like the OP talks about.

I often see them without the app, but it totally enhances things. And some nights it is the only way I can fall asleep.

The patterns of light are supposed to trigger your brain in a way that simulates psilocybin effects.

I often hear a voice calling my name, sometimes it is my mother's voice (she is still living) but sometimes it is stranger's voices. I usually try to ignore them as I am usually trying to fall asleep, but it is just at that point between wake and sleep on either side of the night and sometimes it happens on waking but I never see a person, just here my name from across the distance.
