There is no difference between eyes closed or open. Once the inner eye is open one can see 360° eyes closed or open. The fun part is when becoming consciously aware while in different locations. Like observing a lightening storm from overhead while over the ocean, or visiting someone in a different dimension.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.
Winston Churchill

Your mind is FULL of images and sounds
and memories, and when you drift off to
sleep, you slowly go insane.

Yes, all those melting and morphing images
and scenes and sounds and stories you create
are what a WAKING HOMICIDAL MANIAC might see
as REALITY.

That's why we have nuthouses.

Lets take this up..or left a notch.

Do you also hear between 2-5AM what sounds like two men sitting at monitors in an adjacent hard surfaced room, quietly discussing what they are observing on the monitor?
 Quoting: Zell Xan

Sometimes I do hear them. I have the kitchen fan on always for 'white noise' as it helps me sleep and sometimes the quiet here can be deafening.

Around the times you mentioned, it will suddenly seem like the two men you mentioned are sitting around discussing something as if they are on the radio, casually chatting about stuff.

It's weird AF.

Re: Does this happen to anyone else just before falling asleep?
My bedroom is pitch black at night, no windows, power indicator lights on, just pure darkness.

Because of the darkness, I often will lie on my back and just do slow relaxing breathing and open my eyes just before I fall asleep. About 1 to 3 times a week, when doing this, images will light up about 5 ft from my eyes, almost like a low glow of a tv screen, and I will then in that glow see complex mathematical formulas, or scenes from somewhere around the world, it’s like watching a video. Years past, it used to alway be just old peoples faces, but distorted faces like peasant faces in medieval times, the faces shifting to different ones, women, men, almost looked like they were made of greyish smoke.

Strange stuff.

Anyone else have this happen?

I can be in a dark room ad still see blue light as if I was looking at water up inot the sunshine in the deep ocean. Than I see visions of this and that. But moslty of impoverished, but happy still conditions.
 Quoting: God Fearing Atheist

I see this sort of thing in an electric blue as well. They seem to be real-time scenes of nothing in particular. That is, I don't really recognize any characters or events, and it doesn't seem to be a playing out of memories. Sometimes it seems like I can see the room I'm in in wire-frame form, and as I move my head around, it really looks to me like I'm seeing a version of objects in the room. I've tried it standing up so that I could walk around using it, but distance scales seemed off.

I mentioned the fan as the male voices seem to be coming from the noise of the fan.. Somehow 'utilizing' the fan to be able to speak.

I recorded it once on my tablet just to check if I wasn't going absolutely bonkers and I heard it on the recording, too :(

I asked someone else and they said they also heard it on the audio recording.

Yes... I see faces and other forms while I fall asleep... it starts as weird balls or squiggles of light and eventually they come into resolution the closer I get to sleeping.

Some nights it's really vivid, other times I just fall asleep because I'm too tired to pay attention.

Da Vinci said it's good practice for an artist to pay attention to it, helps to commit forms to memory.

Yes. Mine looks like the Disneyland night light parade m. Everything is made of tiny lights.

I xan do this while completely aware. I even try to manipulate images and "walk" down the streets "successful" too

Re: Does this happen to anyone else just before falling asleep?
I started doing this a few years ago, cover my face with the blanket so I see no light at all. I start to get strange visions of people & places I come to see later in the week or month. Soon shadow figures would appear about a few months in, scaring the hell out of my kids. For a year they mentioned them. I had a really good grip on life. Things were almost always working out for me. When I told them what I was doing, they begged me to stop. This went on for almost 3 years. I then denounced the shadow people to leave. They haven’t appeared for a very long time. In circumstance, my life has gone to shit.

Yes..always two males. Sounds like they are in an adjacent office or school room in a school or office building built between 1900-1950 or so.

Often times as I drift off,,my mind will race into very complex mathematical equations that would normally take me a calculator and a pallet full of paper to solve.

Something happens in my head that allows me to solve these equations in just a few seconds.

I’ve no idea what’s happening, but it’s fun when it happens.

I’ll fully awaken to try to determine what I just did, but can never remember the process..

I see bright lights rings that go to a point in the distance again and again and again as though travelling extremely fast down a tunnel away from the light.

I experience this on a nightly basis.

But sometimes it’s like the light comes from a small point and expands into a bright light, then dark and repeats.

It’s never alarming, very soothing and almost as though I’m putting myself into a trance to enable sleep.

Yes! Not all the time.
I see flashes of different people that I have never seen before.

I once saw a street map, like a gps, all the street names kept changing super fast, and lasted about 10 secs before it stop.

Wow, glad I brought the topic up, interesting to hear similar occurrences happen to others as well.

I find I can’t control it, it just happens, and like a poster said above, the old peasant faces sort of meld into the next one, and continue shifting.
