Phil Schneider was never a CIA agent. He was a geologist with a very vivid imagination. He killed himself, because he was about to be in a great deal of trouble with the IRS for taking TONS of money from unsuspecting people fraudulently. He was giving speeches and selling "alien" crap. Had a huge gambling problem, which is why he never had anything to show for his life's work. He also had severe diabetes with multiple well documented medical amputations because he refused to take care of his diabetes, and the "scar" from his "fight with the grays" was actually a scar from having a quadruple by-pass. He called the bases "DUMBS" because he had a warped sense of humor and thought the public were idiots for buying all that he was shilling. He was a sociopath.

His autopsy and photos of his body and apartment are quite clear. He was wearing a hard back brace at the time, whether due to recent spinal fusion surgery or just severe back pain, is unclear. The "medical tubing" that everyone tries to say didn't belong there was there because he had an enlarged prostate (and quite possibly a neurogenic bladder from the spine issues) and had to use catheters to drain his bladder on a regular basis. It appears he really was tired of living with the health problems. He would have been in severe pain and having all the legal issues was probably a lot for him. This was a guy that enjoyed pulling everyone's chain.

I guess his agate and rock groups became boring after he retired.

Are there underground bases? Yes...kind of. There are underground military facilities, and most of these are highly specialized, missile maintenance, things such as this...but there are no aliens underground.
