No joke, I had the building administrator that managed the building my company was on (who was an old creepy guy that had lots of surveillance monitors in his office, he said he monitored part time big supermarkets and other institutions - it seemed strange for this random dude to have all this access) and he kept joking that he was a US spy and kept pointing everyday that the pigeons on the flat next to the building (that also housed an intelligence agency conspirator hub) were actually US drones and that they kept a tag on him for his safety and to gather info on the populace. I marked him as a loon, until cov started and said all is bs, he was vacced with the real deal prior to 2 years, to not panic and to ignore all the media and then he fucking quit his job, moved all equipment and not a single word from him since. A homeless man stopped me to tell me this when I was visiting Portland and walking to a restaurant downtown. My first instinct was to assume he was crazy, but as he said it, a tree FULL of chirping grackles fell completely silent for 4-5 seconds. He then pointed at them and said "see", and they all started chirping again and he walked off.

My daughter told me this about when she was around 8, so probably 15 years ago or so.

Birds are real, but the probability of some not being real isn't far fetched. I mean, they've used flies and other bugs as, well, bugs. So why not. Who's going to suspect a bird?
