Given that they're this sloppy with the spouse of the person two heartbeats from the presidency, it raises a lot of questions in my mind. Perhaps, or they should have their own security, at least an alarm. But I'm not seeing security for her husband as he would be nothing to the country if Nancy died, he wouldn't step into her place or position. And if he died the result would be the same, nothing would change with her place or position, she'd still be in it. Bear with my Tom Clancy style fantasy for a moment, but if it's possible to break into her home, even if it's when she's not there, in such crude fashion without being stopped until police finally respond, then it's possible to kidnap, threaten, or otherwise exploit family members for leverage in a critical situation (think 24 first season). More worrying to me is the possibility of more professional and stealthy intruders gaining access through social engineering or other methods to plant bugs, steal classified documents that have been brought home when they shouldn't be, etc. Oh hey Mr. Pelosi, your water pipe broke and you need someone to help repair your expensive hardwood floors? Yeah, we'll be there in no time! If the only layer of security are cameras, it's easy to miss a well trained spy and we know certain instances of foreign spies having direct access to congress critters. I was thinking the same- but it's not like there are many Chinese people living in San Francisco or anything...  Right, fang fang had direct access through swalwell. Clinton had a server in a bathroom, and this is only what we know. I see no reason for security for families, etc. Where does it stop? Husband, daughter, son, brother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles best friends, business associates etc., etc. I don't even think members for congress should get protection, why would they? There are public servants everywhere and they don't get any protection, they signed up for the job...figure it out. I dont see my state governor with any security detail ever, none around the governors house either, but the governors house does have a monitored alarm system for break ins and fire. |
