When I got the car I figured it was cheap so I would spend the difference over time in maintenance and repairs, but at the time I did not have much money so that was the trade off to me. That Kia was one of the best cars I have ever owned! I can't believe how reliable that bottom of the line inexpensive car was. I basically keep up the regular maintenance schedule and with that model did the timing belt thing that was the most expensive thing that needed to be done on that model and it never broke down on me. I was so happy to drive that little car for so long. Finally traded it in to get a newer car and found out that the car had a bit of stuff done to it to pass it though inspection for being sold as a used car and that it is still on the road. Good little car! |

You would expect a huge theft ring of Kias and Hyundais there, what being the dominant cars and all. Yet, there were more cars Stoen in San Antonio this last year alone that in my entire time in Korea. Weird, I just can't seem to peg the difference. Clearly it has nothing to do with degenerate lowlife assholes. Clown world indeed. |

Quoting: GAAnon But if you read the whole article it says you can turn on and start a kia and hyndai with USB cable and presumably a computer...thats crazy!!! I drive an Audi and there is a tool for VW/Audi cars called VAGCOM or VCDS that uses a computer to plug into the OBD2 port and you can do a lot of things with it, trouble shoot, data log, get error codes beyond what a typical shop scanner can do...but you cant turn on or start the car!!! SMH... Don’t need the computer either. Literally just a USB CONNECTOR. It comes from the poor design of the physical key assembly. Pair that with no immobilizer, and it’s like stealing cars with a screw driver like it’s the 80’s again. This isn't a design flaw issue. This is all about criminals not worrying about consequences, lack of enforcement of basic laws, and soft on crime DAs. Call a spade a spade. |
