You can't multiple by zero because the answer will always be zero. But you tried to multiple your 4 apples by zero and you can't do that so you still have your 4 apples.

Apples are real, numbers are different. So, if you have 4 real apples, they cannot disappear just because you multiply them by zero. Now if you want to multiply 4 by zero, then you get zero, but since you are talking about a real substance instead of a theoretical scenerio, you must use real computational exercises.
