SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM How does one go about poisoning all of the chicken feed? Quoting: A Jackson What can you put in chicken feed to stop them from laying? Someone in this thread thought maybe it was a LACK of L-Lysine. MAYBE. (whatever it is, is not killing chickens apparently, only stopping them from laying eggs.) SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM I will attest that my chickens have not laid any eggs for the last 4 months. Molting can last up to 8 weeks, so we know that's NOT the reason. All are also way younger than when they stop laying when they get older. Eventually WEFtards will go full spectrum! Be ready! Start stocking up on extra food! Also, rabbits are pretty good for their meat and pelts. They can be housed in a garage, obviously can't be free ranged. irthdog |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM We all know the powers that be don't want us to be self sufficient. It's easier to control the hungry than it is to control those of us that can feed ourselves. Quoting: HollyWho The attempt to ban gas stoves should have been a real eye opener to everyone. I realize many choose to be blind and can't be convinced, but what is wrong with people? You can still cook with gas even when the power goes down. Problem is they want to stop natural gas to homes and restrict propane too . |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM Maybe it's because they're vaccinating the chickens. Bill Gates has said he plans to put mRNA in the food supply to vaccinate the unvaccinated. They may have already been doing this. It very well could be what was responsible for bird flu, swine flu, mad cow disease etc, and they may very well blame the effects of the vaccines and mRNA they put into the animals on those again. |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM Rookie chicken farmers don't understand how much protein their chickens need to lay and how much light they need everyday to keep pumping out eggs during short cold winter days. Mine get 12 hours of light right now and get fed producers pride from tractor supply. 20 chickens are laying 10 eggs everyday. I'm very happy with that right now, being January in Montana. |

Someone trying to create egg shortages? WATCH THIS VIDEO: https://twitter.com/_/status/1617249704466681857 Its weird you mention it because i never really thought about it. I used to give them egg layer but i stopped because it was a pain in the ass to mix in with the feed that i keep in 50 gallon drums. So i thought they chickens just stop laying because its winter. But that isnt the case. Because of me being a little lazy with the mix i switched over to the feed for the goats and chickens. Im in the dead of winter its gonna be zero degrees even tonight, and my chickens are still laying eggs, i never would have put 2 and 2 together until this thread. And my chickens eggs are big and healthy! I have 4 chickens because i eat a lot of eggs and now i cant keep up with there laying, and give eggs away at my wife's workplace. And with the food chain being poisoned on every, this year im buying a couple of cows to raise. I unplugged from public water and fast food 15 years ago and am amazed at the health benefits, mental and physical. If your not doing something your giving up valuable ground in this war. |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM I haven't fed my chickens "feed" in 15 or so years- Cracked corn, alfalfa, table scraps and all the bugs they can get+ the occasional mouse. This year, I gave them a deer carcass (guts and bones)- they haven't stopped laying despite record cold and no supplemental light Last Edited by SqueakyOne on 01/23/2023 08:46 PM |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM I've heard many complaints about how the chickens aren't producing eggs like they use to. Some are new to the game, while others have raised chickens for decades. Many have started blending their own feed, and have added a couple lights to their coops. Chickens naturally slow down egg production in the winter, so the extra lighting usually remedies the problem. Personally, I wouldn't feed my chickens, or any other animal Purina feed. I believe the Purina dog food is what made my dog sick. All by Design |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM Same thing here with my chickens. Last year, around the same time (fall to winter) I was getting probably 0.33 eggs per chicken, per day. Now I'm getting about 0.33 eggs per chicken, per week. I notice that when I feed them canned corn, they lay a lot more. I do the canned corn when I run out of the 50 lb bags of scratch and layer feed. I also do it at times the temps are expected to be below freezing. I'm definitely going to be trying goat feed...though I'll have to experiment again with the scratch and layer feed to ensure the change in # of eggs isn't just due to temps warming up. SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM Same here (Israel), growing chickens for over 23 years, first time no eggs for 3-4 months, had a few eggs last week or so, and now nothing again, also no rains here, and I feed commercial feed, mostly grains (corn, wheat, etc) and bread, and now green grass and compost. SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM There used to be arsenic in chicken food. I don't know if they stopped doing it altogether, or cut the amount back. Commercial laying feed is predominantly roundup ready GMO soy. This is not good for the health of the flock. With my Dad's advice, I switched to a mix 3:1 of COB (corn, oats, barley) and game bird feed, (millet, sunflower, peas, wheat) Egg production tripled, remained steady through the winter, and molts dropped from every 3 years to 7 years. The meat from spent hens was way better than soy birds. I sold these old girls live and made a profit over replacement costs. I canned some of them up for my kitchen too. |

Only have fed them TCS feed, scratch, oyster shells and all the bugs they can get (some mill worm treats too), and table scraps. Took until Nov/ Dec to get any eggs, but now I have 6-8 eggs a day for the past 3 weeks. In tx. |

SWITCH TO GOAT FEED TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM Online claims have emerged, corroborated by others, that the popular “Producer’s Pride” chicken feed sold by the Tractor Supply chain has been recently altered and that its new formulation is causing chickens to stop laying eggs. Some suggest a deliberate reduction in the amount of protein in the feed may be causing the reduction in egg production.
