English in fact has only been standardized for the last 100 years and is still changing. But, no one can say that word parts do not have meaning. They do. In fact, I found it so interesting I started to write the el in reverse. And than I researched what "el" v. what "le" meant. /-le/. forming names of appliances or instruments. "bridle" 2. forming names of animals and plants. /-le/ in refference to systems over all. /-el/ Meaning:deity or god; sunray. El is a gender-neutral name with Hebrew and Greek origins that packs plenty of meaning in the two letters it holds. In the Semitic language, El means “deity” or “god,” and is a unique choice if you want to teach someone that there's more to life than the physical world. In respect to really describing humans and their relationsship to having a spirit and as laid out in the US Bill of Rights or in their faith. I would think "peop-el" would be more accurate, in relating the world they live in and not just to a systems. Since, leftist are all about changing titles and names, what could be a far better change than recognizing that humans are larger more important than systems. Do you think it will catch on?
