I'm not sure, but I think the great Wall Street Journal is going down the tubes.

If McCarthy steps aside and let’s them nominate Trump, all those votes would go to Trump and also the MAGA hold outs too. An easy win for Trump.

I think the point was to just not vote for McCarthy

I'm not very informed on these matters. These people aren't of much interest to me and they seem to just be useless.

It’s part of the Constitution anybody can be nominated to be Speaker of the House wether it is forming the ruling party with a majority or a minority party
but the votes would lead to a plurality.
McCarthy cannot receive a majority due to a split in the vote, this could result with an alternative nomination.

there is even a clause for the Vice President i believe.

I got a notice from a follow an lost the notice an couldn't find it again so I really don't know. It's likely he did not accept or I would be able to find something.

All these news sources are sad imo. But it might be accurate from the journal, they are adjourned til 10 tonight.

thank you very much.
So, technically, trump could be speaker then?
I wasnt sure if it was just some sort of joke. or if it were really possible.

Yes or no but Trump would need 218 votes from the Republican Party but usually the House Speaker doesn’t need to be either Republican nor Democrat
for all i care Hillary Clinton could be nominated to be Speaker of the House and that could wind things up, after all Trump did cause an insurrection on January 6th just remember that a coup on his own government without informing Congress.

Thus illegal.

I heard that Trump said he would accept (before he was nominated) but I don't know if he is on the ballot or which ballot he was (?) on - obviously he wasn't nominated (yet) or we all would have heard about it

after A DOZEN FAILURES you would think that Kevin would get a hint and step down and let a better man win - some one who would impeach Joe and sons , shut down the border and fix the election process .... and of course HANG FAUCHI- GATES - SOROS and SCHAWB from the lamposts on Independence Mall
