The Russian Defense Ministry has started construction of a new water pipeline that will connect Rostov Region and Donbass, the ministry said.
"Specialists of the military construction complex of the Russian Defense Ministry have begun construction of a large water pipeline to provide residents of Donbass with clean drinking water. The new hydraulic structure will pass through the territory of the Rostov region and the Donetsk People's Republic to the channel Seversky Donets - Donbass", - clarified in the ministry.

The capacity of the water line will be up to 300 thousand cubic meters of water per day.
This is already the eighth water conduit, built by the Russian Defense Ministry to provide water to residents of the liberated territories. Earlier the military builders erected and launched the Chernovsky water conduit near Debaltsevo, in Volnovakha, Rovenky, Dokuchayevsk, a line from the Khanzhenkovskoye reservoir to the Seversky Donets canal and so on.

The project envisages laying of two main pipeline strings, 200 km each, and construction of pumping stations, electric power substations and water storages of 10 thousand cubic meters. At the facilities of the water pipeline 1,600 military builders and about 800 pieces of equipment are already involved. The National Defense Control Center of Russia continuously monitors the construction around the clock and controls the materials delivered to the sites. ria*ru

The Russian Armed Forces of the Southern Military District's 152 mm Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer crews have successfully attacked Ukrainian military positions in the zone of special operations in the Zaporizhzhya Region, the Defense Ministry has reported.
Units of the Russian Armed Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhya direction. Artillerymen of the Southern Military District, supporting the actions of motorized rifle and tank units, inflict intensive strikes on enemy fortifications, accumulations of manpower, and convoys of equipment of the Ukrainian military, which deliver reinforcements.

There are Ukrainians here sometimes, probably reading this thread...
If I were a Ukrainian who had been forcibly mobilized (so say those who want to evoke pity for fallen Ukrainians) - I would organize a riot against the Banderites themselves. Having a gun on my hands is a great idea. This idea can even become a success if you think it through and don't be afraid.
I once posted on GLP a story "Democracy" on this topic. I'll go find it and post it again.

There is no point in dying fighting Russia, ostensibly for fear of being killed from behind by the Banderaites. Then you will die a coward, and what will you tell God? What will you say to your grandfather, who gave his life for you to live as a coward.
You should take more creatures with you that are definitely not pleasing to God - even if you die, you will die a hero, both to people and to God. Most importantly, for yourself.
Cowards think "we live once," and "there is no God.
You will be sorely disappointed.

Democracy.
Demon Kratius.

Slowly the slaves walked one after another, each carrying a polished stone. Four lines, a mile and a half long each, were guarded by guards from the stonethrowers to the site where the fortress city began. There was one armed soldier-guard per dozen slaves.

On the top of a thirteen-meter high man-made mountain of polished stones, one of the high priests sat at the side of the slaves; for four months, he had been silently observing what was going on. No one distracted him, no one, not even a glance, dared to interrupt his meditations. The slaves and guards regarded the artificial mountain with the throne on top as an integral part of the landscape. And no one paid any more attention to the man, now sitting motionless on the throne, now strolling on the platform at the top of the mountain.

Kratius set himself the task of restructuring the state, of strengthening the power of the priests for a millennium by making all the people of the Earth subject to them, making all of them, including the rulers of states, slaves of the priests.

One day Kratius went down, leaving his double on the throne. The priest changed his clothes, took off his wig. Ordered the chief of guards to chain him up like a mere slave and place him in a row, behind a young and strong slave named Nard.

[Remove the bill.]
But Cratius did not sleep that night. He pondered. "Of course," Kratius thought, "it would be easiest to report the plot to the ruler, and capture the young slave boy, he is clearly the chief inspiration for the others. But that would not solve the problem. The desire for freedom from slavery will always be with the slaves. New leaders will appear, new plans will be devised, and if so, the chief threat to the state will always be present within the state." Kratius had a task: to devise a plan to enslave the whole world. He understood that to achieve the goal with the help of physical violence alone would not be possible. It is necessary to have a psychological impact on individuals and entire nations. It is necessary to transform the human thought, to instill in everyone: slavery is the greatest good. It is necessary to launch a self-developing program, which will disorient entire nations in space, time and concepts. But most importantly, an adequate perception of reality. Kratii's mind worked faster and faster, he stopped feeling his body, heavy shackles on his hands and feet. And suddenly, like a flash of lightning, a program appeared. Not yet detailed or explainable, but already palpable and burning in its enormity. Kratius felt like he was the sole ruler of the world.

The priest lay on the bunk bed, shackled, and admired himself: "Tomorrow morning, when everyone is led to work, I will give a signal, and the head of the guard will order to take me out of the row of slaves, remove the shackles. I will detail my program, utter a few words, and the world will begin to change. Unbelievable! Just a few words and the whole world will obey me, my thought. God has indeed given man a power that has no equal in the universe, a power that is human thought. It produces words and changes the course of history. The situation was unusually fortunate. The slaves have prepared a plan of revolt. It is rational, this plan, and can clearly lead to a positive outcome for them in the interim. But I, with just a few phrases, not only them, but also the descendants of today's slaves, and the rulers of the earth, to be slaves for thousands of years to come.

In the morning, at Kratia's sign, the head of the guard removed his shackles. And the next day the other five priests and Pharaoh were invited to his observation platform.

Before the crowd, Kratius began his speech:

- What you are about to hear must not be written down or retold by anyone. There are no walls around us, and no one but you will hear my words. I have devised a way to turn all people living on Earth into slaves of our Pharaoh. It is impossible to do this, even with numerous armies and grueling wars. But I will do it in a few phrases. In just two days, after saying them, you will see how the world will begin to change. Look: below, long lines of chained slaves carry one stone at a time. They are guarded by many soldiers. The more slaves the better for the state, we always thought. But the more slaves, the more we have to fear their rebellion. We strengthen the guards. We have to feed our slaves well, otherwise they won't be able to do hard physical work. But they are still lazy and prone to rebellion. See how slowly they move, and the lazy guards don't whip and beat them, even the healthy and strong slaves. But, they will move much faster. They won't need guards. The guards will become slaves, too. The way to accomplish this is this.

Tonight, before sunset, let the heralds pass Pharaoh's decree that says, "At the dawn of a new day, all slaves will be granted complete freedom. For every stone delivered to the city, a free man will receive one coin. The coins can be exchanged for food, clothing, lodging, a palace in the city, and the city itself. From now on, you are free men.

When the priests realized what Kratius had said, one of them, the oldest, said:

- You are a demon, Kratius. Your demonism will cover many earthly peoples.

- Let me be the demon, and let people in the future call it democracy.

The decree was read to the slaves at sunset, they were amazed, and many stayed awake at night pondering their new happy life.

The next morning the priests and Pharaoh again ascended the platform of the artificial mountain. The picture that appeared to their eyes was astonishing. Thousands of men, former slaves, were dragging in a race the same stones as before. Sweating, many carried two stones at a time. Others, who had one each, ran, kicking up dust. Some guards dragged stones, too. People who thought they were free - after all, they had been stripped of their shackles - were eager to get as many of the coveted coins as they could in order to build their happy lives.

Kratius spent another few months on his pad, observing with satisfaction what was happening below.

And the changes were enormous. Some of the slaves banded together in small groups, built carts and, loaded to the top with stones, pouring sweat on them, pushed these carts.

"They'll invent many more gadgets," Kratius thought to himself with satisfaction, "there are already services in-house: water and food carriers.

Some of the slaves ate on the spot, not wanting to take the time to get to the barracks to eat, and paid with the coins they received.

"They have got healers, too: they help the wounded on the move, and for coins, too. And they have chosen traffic controllers. Soon they will choose their own bosses and judges. Let them choose: they think they are free, but the essence has not changed, they are still dragging stones...".

And so they run, through the millennia, in the dust, drenched in sweat, dragging heavy stones. And today, the descendants of those slaves continue their senseless run.

Re: January 2023 Ukraine updates.
I'm sorry, but the link above is crooked.
Here is the correct account of Democracy. I highlighted in red what was missing )))

Slowly the slaves walked one after another, each carrying a polished stone. The four rows of one and a half kilometers each were guarded by guards from the stonecutters to the place where the construction of the fortress city began. There was one armed soldier-guard per dozen slaves.

On the side of the walking slaves, on the top of thirteen meters high man-made mountain made of polished stones, Kratius, one of the high priests, was sitting; for four months he had been silently watching what was going on.

Ordered the chief of guards to chain him up like a mere slave and place him in a line behind a young and strong slave named Nard.

Peering into the faces of the slaves, Kratius noticed that this young man had an inquisitive and appraising look, not a wandering or detached one like many. The Nard's face was now focused and thoughtful, now excited. "So he's hatching some plan of his own," the priest realized, but he wanted to make sure his observation was accurate.

For two days Kratius followed Nard, silently hauling stones, sitting beside him during meals, and sleeping beside him on the bunk. On the third night, as soon as the command "Sleep" came, Kratius turned to the young slave and whispered, with bitterness and despair, a question addressed to whom he did not know:

- Will it go on like this for the rest of his life?

The priest saw the young slave flinch and turn instantly to face the priest, his eyes gleaming. They glittered even in the dim light of the big barrack's burners.

- It won't be like this for long. I am finalizing the plan. And you, old man, can take part in it, too," the young slave whispered.

- What plan? - indifferently and with a sigh the priest asked.

The Nard began to explain fervently and confidently:

- And you, old man, and I, and all of us will soon be free men, not slaves. Do the math, old man: for every ten slaves there is one guardian. And for the fifteen slave girls who cook food and sew clothes, there is also one watchman. If we all attack the guards at the appointed hour, we will defeat them. Let the guards be armed and we in chains. There are ten of us each, and the chains can also be used as weapons, putting them to the sword's blow. We will disarm all the guards, tie them up, and take possession of the weapons.

- Oh, young man," sighed Cratius again, and said, as if indifferently, "your plan is incomplete, the guards watching us might be disarmed, but soon the lord would send more, perhaps even an entire army, to kill the rebel slaves.

- I have thought of that too, old man. We must choose a time when there is no army. And that time is coming. We can all see the army being prepared for the march. They're making provisions for three months' march. So, in three months, the army will come to the appointed place and go into battle. It will be weakened in the battle, but it will win, capturing many new slaves. New barracks are already being built for them. We must begin disarming the guards as soon as our ruler's army enters the battle with another army. It will take a month for the messengers to deliver the message to return immediately. A weakened army will take at least three months to return. In four months we will be able to prepare for the rendezvous. There will be as many of us as there are soldiers in the army. Captured slaves will want to be with us when they see what has happened. I've got it right, old man.

- Yes, young man, you with your plan, with your thoughts can disarm the guards and defeat the army, - the priest answered already encouragingly and added: - but then what the slaves will do, and what will happen to the rulers, guards and soldiers?

- I have thought a little about that. And so far one thing comes to mind: all those who were slaves will become non-slaves. All who are not slaves today will be slaves," Nard replied, as if thinking aloud, not quite sure.

- And the priests? Tell me, young man, will you count the priests, when you win, among the slaves or not?

- The priests? I have not thought of that either. But now I suppose: let the priests stay as they are. They are listened to by the slaves, by the rulers. Though it is hard to understand them sometimes, I think they are harmless. Let them tell us about gods, and we know for ourselves how to live our lives better.

- As best is good," the priest replied and pretended to be terribly sleepy.

But Cratius did not sleep that night. He pondered. "Of course," Kratius thought, "the easiest thing to do would be to report the plot to the ruler, and capture the young slave boy, he is clearly the mastermind for the others. But that would not solve the problem. The desire for freedom from slavery will always be with the slaves. Re: January 2023 Ukraine updates.
The capture of Soledar by Russian forces and a series of small but important victories in the west put our strategic adversaries before an existential choice: either surrender or engage in a war against Russia to the point of complete ruin in earnest, without using excuses like "here we fight, here we do not fight, here we help Ukraine, and here we fish". Such a choice, of course.
Individual humanitarians still allow themselves to whimper. "By sending tanks to Ukraine, we could turn Europe into one big radioactive grave," laments Peter Hitchens in the British Daily Mail. - Why did Britain even sign up for this?" This, however, is the voice of the crying in the wilderness.

Britain is sending tanks to Ukraine. The Czech Republic is sending tanks to Ukraine. The U.S. says loudly that it is about to send tanks to Ukraine. And only Germany is still trying to resist. "As for Leopard tanks, we cannot yet say when the decision will be made and what it will be," the country's newly appointed defense minister, Boris Pistorius, just mumbled on the sidelines of a meeting in Ramstein.
The allies of the alliance gave Olaf Scholz a showdown for this opportunistic stance. The Baltic littoralists suggested that Germany should not hide behind other NATO members. American General Wesley Clark, who had killed Vietnamese and Yugoslavians, said that Ukraine should be given all possible heavy weapons immediately: "Putin <...> is planning a new offensive. <...> Ten tanks? Ukraine needs three hundred, five hundred tanks".
Finally, the wounds of the German chancellor were sprinkled with salt by the British partners. "Insecure, unimaginative leaders like Olaf Scholz are swept away by a wave of general disgust," Guardian columnist Simon Tisdoll sealed. The lofty attitudes demonstrated to us by members of the alliance, of course.

What causes the hysteria in the ranks of our adversaries? First, fear of the steady advance of the Russian troops and the inevitable defeat of the AFU. Secondly, the realization of the sad fact that they are running out not only of 155 mm shells, but also of Ukrainians who are fighting, and a new - the sixth or seventh in a row? - mobilization in Ukraine.
This means that NATO countries must either capitulate or get involved in the Ukrainian conflict in a mature manner. Simon Tisdoll suggests that Europe should "fight with everything it's got, even at the risk of European national armies getting directly involved in the conflict.

Note that there is no mention of the NATO bloc, only the national armies. The point is that the United States is doing everything to blur and forget Article 5 of the NATO Charter, just to avoid direct confrontation with Russia and to rule the conflict from across the ocean, sipping mojitos by the pool while European cannon fodder is dying somewhere near Kupiansk.
The British Guardian tells Washington how to elegantly evade responsibility. Let the "national armies" of European countries invade Ukraine, then the White House will not have to save its NATO allies.
Translated into Russian, this means that the Anglo-Saxons have already milked the last Ukrainian and are now planning to fight to the last European. Really, what to feel sorry for them?

However, it is difficult to imagine a German burgher or French bourgeois, who suddenly for some reason will go to the Eastern front to defend the Ukrainian independence. Of course, the population there is quite fooled by the propaganda, but still shedding blood for Zelensky is quite an unconventional way of suicide. Europe is not ready for this yet.
Therefore, the Anglo-Saxon elites are pushing aside the tired mantra that we should help the Ukrainians and openly say that the Europeans must do away with Russia. "The Russian empire must die," Anne Applebaum, a well-known American journalist and prominent expert on the Gulag, recently articulated.

Thank you for your frankness, we've already figured it out. The point is that the Ukrainian independence as a trophy does not interest Europeans, of course. But if you convince them that it is about the defeat and looting of Russia, then it will be quite another matter. The elites of the EU have been feasting on the ruins of the Soviet Union for a decade. Crumbs from the geopolitical pie shared by Brussels and Washington also went to ordinary citizens.
Up until 1991, the European Union was not a very rich or confident entity on the map. Beginning in the 1990s, it began to grow. The old Europe was ruthlessly milking the post-Soviet fringes and squeezing the former Warsaw Pact countries dry. They were expected to face shock economy, degradation and depopulation, while theirs was a strong euro, robust economic growth, cheap credit and all the charms of consumerism.

Now this feast of victors is over - abruptly and ruthlessly. The only hope of resuming it is to rob Russia. To do this, it must be defeated on the battlefield. This is the carrot that their Anglo-Saxon friends are hanging before the Europeans. They chose the role of conflict managers for themselves, but the citizens of the EU will have to experience this conflict on their own skins.
A separate carrot is in store for Poland, Washington's favorite wife in the European harem. Its citizens are invited to die in order to regain the eastern Kresy, the western regions of Ukraine.

However, if the European military intervenes openly in the conflict in Ukraine, there is an immediate risk of a nuclear strike. What to do about it? The populations of both the U.S. and Europe are no strangers to the natural human fear of nuclear war. Jeremy Corbyn in Britain, Elon Musk and Donald Trump in the United States even risk voicing this fear publicly. It is precisely this fear that is slowing down the flywheel of conflict.
Simon Tisdoll suggests that European cannon fodder need not fear. "Military escalation is inevitable," he says. Why is it inevitable? Because the West is supplying weapons to Ukraine and plans to supply even more advanced ones: tanks, air defense systems, aircraft. The idea of "closing the sky over Ukraine" keeps popping up. That is, Washington itself stirs up the conflict and then, as if mocking its allies, shrugs its hands: see, an escalation is inevitable, go to the front. And as for Article 5 - as they say, "we'll see.

What is striking is, of course, the cynicism of these figures who, sitting in their comfortable offices, are programming the Europeans for war and are not making much of a secret of the fact that they are throwing them into certain death. "Let's not let fear influence our decisions," Ann Applebaum tries. - The less we show our fear, the more we scare Putin.
So far, however, just the opposite has been observed. Trying to confront Russia, NATO allies are hiding behind each other's backs, pushing the poorest and the unwise to the front lines. First the Ukrainians were pushed out to fight. Now they are running out, and the Poles are being pushed to replace them. Poles are resisting and trying to recruit to the front those Ukrainians who fled to Europe. Behind the backs of the Poles, the Baltic Limitrophs are hiding. Behind the backs of the Baltic Germans are holed up. Behind the Germans the French are waiting, and behind them the Italians, Spaniards and tutti quanti. The cowardly vassals are generously rewarded with kicks from the boots of Uncle Sam, resting comfortably in a chaise lounge across the Atlantic.

What's all the fuss about? Fear, of course. Our strategic adversaries are terrified of pushing each other under the possibility of retaliation from Russia and convulsively trying to engage in a conflict without incurring retribution.
For the Europeans, there are even two factors of deterrence at work here: not only Russian nuclear weapons, but also an impressive historical memory. It is impossible to count how many of their ancestors, who went to conquer and plunder Russia, are buried today in our vast expanses. As Pushkin noted, there will be enough room for new conquerors - "among the coffins that do not belong to them," so to speak.

Russian satellite terminals for military communications have been supplied to one of the DPR art brigades, they are being tested and show good results, former Roscosmos director general and head of the Tsar's Wolves military advisory group Dmitry Rogozin told RIA Novosti.
"I believe that space communications in the troops should certainly be in place. We have produced the first compact sets, they have already been supplied to one of the artillery brigades and have shown good results," Rogozin said. He specified that military complexes of space communication are created on the basis of civil solutions which are offered by Russian enterprises.
According to the head of "Royal Wolves", it took to finalize the algorithms, so that they were fully applicable "along the front lines, even in conditions of suppression of such channels of communication by radio-electronic warfare of the enemy. Rogozin did not give details about the novelty, explaining this by the fact that otherwise it would be easier for the enemy to find ways to jam radio signals. ria*ru

The property of ordinary Ukrainians in Crimea is not threatened, said the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov.
"There is no goal to take all the property from the Ukrainians. We understand that many ordinary people earned money by honest work and invested it here - for example, in a holiday apartment. Therefore, everything that was bought legally, there are no problems and there will not be. We have a lot of such property," he said.
In Crimea suggested that the new subjects of Russia to lay claims to Kiev
According to him, only the property of Ukrainian citizens who are responsible for crimes against the Russian army and civilians, as well as the Ukrainian people will fall under nationalization.
"Here's the bottom line. We are for truth and justice. We cannot allow them to make money on the Crimeans and take all the profits out in various roundabout ways. It's not just immoral, it's criminal, so it must be stopped, "- said the head of the regional parliament.
Earlier, the Crimean parliament decided to nationalize the property of Ukrainian oligarchs associated with the Kiev authorities, nationalized the Bakhchisaray combine "Stroyindustriya", the shipbuilding plant "Zaliv", construction hypermarket "Novacenter" and shopping complex, as well as land, movable and immovable property of LLC "Megastroy". The authorities have stated that they will continue to identify the property and land plots of foreign nationals committing unfriendly acts against Russia. ria*ru

The Moroccan authorities have handed over to Ukraine 20 T-72B tanks.

The tanks are currently undergoing modernization and maintenance in the Czech Republic, after which they are expected to be shipped to Ukraine within the next month. The Moroccan side has not officially announced the delivery of these tanks, but Algerian and Czech journalists have learnt about it.

As of now, Morocco has agreed to transfer half of the country's T-72B tanks to Ukraine. So far the terms of this transfer remain unknown; however, among other things the African country has sent a large quantity of spare parts for repair and restoration of the damaged tanks, which indicates that in the near future the AFU will receive a large number of these combat vehicles in service.
It is remarkable that the decision to supply T-72b tanks to Ukraine was taken late April last year, however the agreement to modernize the tanks has been reached only now.

As of today, the number of T-72 tanks provided to Ukraine by other countries is already estimated at 400. The largest number of T-72B tanks has been supplied by the Polish side.

The storming of the Ivanovka settlement, which ensures the possibility of encircling Bakhmut, has begun.

Over the past few hours, the situation in Bakhmut has changed very seriously. As it became known, the units of the Wagner PMC began to storm the village of Ivanovka, located to the southwest of Bakhmut. The occupation of this settlement provides the possibility of a complete encirclement of the city, with the cutting of the highway, which provides not only the possibility of transferring weapons to Bakhmut, but also provides an opportunity for the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops.

According to Igor Strelkov, at the moment, Vagner PMC units are gradually moving towards Ivanovka, forcing the enemy out of the territory of this settlement and its surroundings. The situation remains quite difficult, however, mercenary units are moving towards Ivanovka.

"In the area south of Bakhmut - fierce fighting between the settlements of Kleshcheevka and Ivanovskoye with the gradual advance of the "Wagner" in the direction of the specified settlement. Its capture will mean the operational encirclement of the Bakhmut garrison," Strelkov said.

If Russian forces take Ivanovka and then consolidate their position there, they may start to storm Bakhmut itself: due to the lack of fortifications in this direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose the initiative to defend themselves, although large forces of the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries are still present on the territory of the city. A field ammunition depot was detonated by a guided missile in the Special Military Operation Zone.

A field ammunition depot was detected by reconnaissance assets in the area of a special military operation. After the location of the large ammunition depot was identified, it was accurately hit with a guided munition, resulting in the destruction of the field depot with a powerful explosion.

An unmanned aerial vehicle, which conducted reconnaissance and simultaneously corrected the strike, filmed the destruction of a field ammunition depot in the UAS zone. The footage shows the moment the drone moved away to a safe distance and the explosion that followed. The explosion was so powerful that a column of fire rose to a height of about 40 meters, almost destroying the drone, which by that time had already moved a few hundred meters away. Judging by the flying debris, there were fortifications as well as artillery, which, for obvious reasons, were destroyed by the powerful explosion.

Next stop: Chasiv Yar and the cut off of escape by Uke reinforcements sent to hold Bakhmut

The encirclement will continue ….along with the methodical hunting of Uke forces actually in Bakhmut and killing those that do not surrender

Near Soledar, assault squad volunteers captured an elite commando from the U.S. Marine Corps detachment, Michael Winter. It is known that the mercenary has combat experience in Syria, Iraq and Libya under his belt. The marine arrived in Ukraine as an instructor.

Earlier, participants in the liberation of Soledar and the acting head of the DNR, Denis Pushyli, also reported that foreign mercenaries were captured during the capture of the city. This was reported by Rambler.

Maybe he is a psychotic Satanist, Satan has an army.
There are a lot of possibilities.

All Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia are now being processed informationally: they tell them, show them pictures and videos, so that they understand how they were used.
Will this help after they are released home after the SSO is over?
not 100% they will understand

This is all going on in a tight area. I think the distance from Bakhmut to Chasiv Yar is about 12 km
