Trying to catch up to Russian tank tech i see.

I guess you could say that. Russia has had an auto loading main gun for a long time now, and putting a fuel hungry gas turbine on a tank is very stupid. The care and feeding of a tank is all about logistics.

And having a swiss watch running at 60,000 rpm and needing an endless fuel supply in a war zone is nuts. Not to mention the massive heat and noise signature of a gas turbine.

The depleted uranium was used in the big gun's sabot rounds. I never heard of uranium used for the armor.

Edit: Well, I'll be darned, it does mention it is used for the frontal armor plate as well (sandwiched in between layers of steel). .

After the battles in Soledar, fighters of the Wagner PMC intend to send to Ukraine 20 vehicles with the bodies of killed Kiev fighters. This was reported by RIA FAN on January 21.
