Seems like Dutch said that the commercial quarry mining explosions max out in the 1.9 range, but maybe higher?

If Russia was going to retaliate for NATO attacks on Russian soil and subsea Nord Stream pipe attack, the Black sea is the first place Putin would make a measured move.

Definitely.
You might want to cross reference the midnight quake epicenter with the most probable undersea pipelines owned by the west.
Russia would target pipeline locations in international or contested waters first, I would assume.

The Baltic Pipe is the newest western competitor to the Nord Stream II pipe that was destroyed.
They just announced its final test and start up in the weeks after Nord Stream subsea pipe was taken out.

Different sea, but perhaps the Baltic Pipe links to others in the Black sea near the earthquake?
