I have mention this, they are still holding slave buying, they bring them to a place and people bid on them. It seems eay to blame greedy men of the day, but that is a narrow view.

It seems the real slave today might have no real way to escape the 'chains', because they lack the skills to exist in a modern society and they lack the skills needed to live outside of modern society. Of course this is all based on old books. The more modern methods of slavery are just beyond the reach of my local library.

You have no idea about history. For example the African country that did not have slavery is the kingdom of Ethiopia. Normally, when the Europeans occupied it - the Italians introduced slavery.

South Africa had no idea about slavery - it was occupied by the British and supported slavery until after the Second World War.
