What decade was the peak of American civilization? POLL

I think mid 18th to 19th Century was truly the peak for America as a whole when trying to consider all the positive factors which make a civilization great.

Though when considering each Century by itself I'd say:

peak 18th Century was 1770s
peak 19th Century was 1840s
peak 20th Century was 1950s
peak 21st Century was pre-9-11

But what do I know? I'm an 8th grade dropout.

Born in the late 1950's. To me, things started going downhill by 1990.

Gangs were growing like wildfire and millions of illegals were flooding in.
By mid 2000's everything was political. Believe it or not, there use to be a time when no one really cared who you voted for or if you were a Dem or Rep.
The internet is great and evil all at the same time. People were happier before the net and they actually hung out with other people, made friends and had a good time. Now, people are all depressed and lonely. Sad.
In the '70's moms were mostly still at home raising their kids but the going to work was becoming a thing. It was getting more expensive and the 2 income family was really taking off in the 80's when the 2nd income was needed.
