Four years of Trump's reckless spending is the cause of all the inflation
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79673421

And Biden has done what exactly regarding spending?!?!?!? He's been in office nearly two years!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84119115

Don't pay attention to the shit eating leftists on GLP.

They're always spewing bullshit.

When Trump took office the national debt was at $19.6 trillion

When Trump hit year 3 in office (right before COVID) the national debt was $22.7 trillion

An increase of $3 trillion over 3 years (or $1 trillion per year) in debt.

When COVID hit, Congress passed VETO PROOF legislation (CARES Act) which added another almost $6 trillion to the debt.

So while Trump didn't do great (he still had significant debt his first 3 years), it's nowhere near as bad what Obama did or what Joe Biden is doing.

Obama's 8 years saw the US debt more than double ($9 trillion to $19.6 trillion), and that was WITHOUT a COVID type incident.

Here's the US debt year by year: [link to www.thebalancemoney.com (secure)]

$250,000 debt per taxpayer

LMAO
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2136067

At least that is what the US debt clock tells us.
What a joke right? Like its ever going to get paid off. The only way out of this mess cancelling all debt around the world for everybody. Then setting up a system where each country has their own currency and backs it up with a natural resource. All fiat currencies and bitcoin need to go, as they are backed up with nothing.....

Re: US Debt limit maxed out yesterday.
Wasn’t aware printing money as the Worlds only superpower had a debit limit? Oh wait, it doesn’t! I remember reading that some where! The US can print all the money it wants and continue to do so, until someone is able to stop it militarily, which won’t happen in my grandchildren’s lives! Certain countries got the idea of overthrowing the US Dollar in around 2001, two years later the US invaded Iraq and Afghanistan! Then Libya, then Syria, then Egypt. The US isn’t afraid to lose(Militarily, wink, wink) in the public eye, humble really, we won’t lose what we have built!

If the USA went scorched earth, which it will do if threatened, the world couldn’t stop! It’s not possible. The US is the beast of Babylon! Yep, and I live here and fought in those wars. Ashamed, yet proud, I fought alongside some of the best warriors from America, Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand! Yet Ashamed because I didn’t realize until later what I was actually killing people for! Was the bottom line of some fuck wit billionaire or politicians bank account half a world away, and some psycho general who creamed his pants at the thought of being remembered in history as Alexander the Great.

To get back to what you said, NO. The US has not hit its debt limit, because their isn’t one. Try and stop it, you can’t! When the time comes, they will pull the plug and we will be left without a chair! They however will be set! Unless, remember I talked about militarily? That’s right, unless our well trained and beloved military steps in for us, we will be shit food pantries for computer space! The military I served in, the US Marine Corps I served in, will bring the fight, to the real enemy!

I'm not sure why CNN would think Goldman-Sachs' opinion is valid enough to weigh in on today's issues considering they're one of the "Big Boys" that misappropriated their investors money and ended up getting bailed out in 2008.

Well, another typical low IQ liberal speaking on things they have bo idea about or another no Trumper low IQ

Trump spent for a few reasons, forst was to correct the mess Obama created,

Second was to get us right with becoming energy independent

Third was because covid came along

Fourth was the wall at the boarder

If they would have left the thi gs Trump did energy independence we would have botbhad to raise the debt ceiling when next presd4nt took over

All that money spent and still we have no cure for TDS.

Not enough is being done.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84895052

We are left with nothing but old folk remedies!

TDS sufferers might try this one:

1 Draw a bucket of lukewarm water.

2 Set it on the floor and add 2 cups of unicorn piss

3 Soak your fat head in it for a few hours.

If you're still breathing, try again.

"Yellen has been voicing alarm since January, when the United States hit its $31.4 trillion debt ceiling. At the time she notified Congress that the Treasury had begun resorting to “extraordinary measures” to avoid a federal government default.

On Monday, President Joe Biden called all four congressional leaders and invited them to a May 9 meeting on the issue."
