Life hack: How to have incredible, full-color, epic lucid dreams
I've now done this twice, so it is repeatable with similar or the same results.

Here's the recipe.

Microdose with delta-8 about an hour before you normally go to sleep for two consecutive nights. By microdose, I mean a quarter to an eighth of what to you would be a full dose. You'll sleep fine both nights with normal dreams.

On the next night, and even the night after that, go to bed normally (meaning using no substances or sleep aids).

Enjoy the most amazing, lengthy, epic, plot-driven lucid dreams!

makes sense.

THC greatly inhibits REM sleep.

deprive yourself of REM sleep by using THC for a few day and then experience a REM rebound effect when you abstain.

Two days.

I did it three days and had a night terror like I haven't had in years.

I prefer not to dream. Never have nice ones, so much easier to toke up, sleep and not remember a damn thing.

Re: Life hack: How to have incredible, full-color, epic lucid dreams
I used to dream so much more when I was younger. Nightmares and eventually lucid dreams but I don’t think I’m a natural lucid dreamer: I have had interesting dreams that I did have to pull myself out of though by forcing myself waking up… those would be like semi lucid nightmares I think. I’ve only had a few fully lucid dreams where I’m able to control every aspect (a god in my own universe inside my head)

Don't have to be in total control for it to be lucid. If you're making choices in the dream and those choices determine the plot of the dream, then you are lucid.

The Tibetans see the afterlife as an adventure, a trek, through what basically is a dream world. Thus, they say, it is important to be able to be lucid in your dreams, to develop that skill, in preparation for, um, your journey on the other side.

I don't even know what that is.

You just need those mozzarella cheese snacks. Eat 1 before you go to bed.

Everybody has bad dreams, bruh.

I sometimes have night terrors. You ever have those? Used to be, people believed that what we now call "night terrors" were actual marauding demons. HP Lovecraft had night terrors.

Anyway, you have to learn to control yourself in your dreams. It is part of your lesson plan in this life. If you fail at it, well, you'll probably have to come back to this plane(t) to repeat the course.

Dreaming is part of life, not some side effect. Don't trivialize it, hide from it, or waste the opportunities.

Yep, had my first night terror in 1988. Everybody might have them, but they traumatize the shit out of me and it takes days for the stress to leave. Easier not to bother. I'll fix it in the next life when I'm not in a body with all kinds of issues. This one's a write off.

That and L-tryptophan; but neither have I found to guarantee epic, brightly colored, plot-driven lucid dreams the way I dream the two nights after two nights on microdoses of Delta-8.

Here the FDA warns about Delta-8. Apparently there have been 104 cases of adverse events.

Duh, 3 puffs of this and 3 puffs of that. One will feel significantly stronger than the other. You can probably get drunk off kombucha, but it would cost an arm and a leg..

Somehow I got to the same conclusion, but still did not acquire skill to lucid dream (had a few when I was younger).

Heard nice stuff about Daniel Love, will try his methods.

dreams are usually distractions though, whats more important is what you think about before you go to sleep, not what your seeing when you wake

However, one should really not have dreams. If you have a lot of dreams it means your mind is not still and constantly distracted.

Yeah there's something lost in translation in the wisdom from the East that advocates "no dreams." The Tibetans clearly practiced lucid dreaming as a gateway discipline to other disciplines, such as OBE and the post-life journey.

When they say no dreams, they probably mean no indulgence in abject fantasy.

I've come across this prohibition in Taoist literature too.
