Just one thing though: I prefer to think of the golden rule to be "Do not do unto others that you would not want done unto yourself" rather than "Do unto others", etc.

The reason being is that some churches use the "Do unto others...." version to justify some pretty heartless things like making aboriginal people clothe themselves, change their belief systems based on centuries of tradition, etc.

I much prefer the passive version of the golden rule.
