Starbucks unionized to day in PA? Whats next Mickey D's? I hope they all go broke from being woke. This is going to be fun watching Starbucks and their overpaid workers go into bankruptcy.

Whitehall Starbucks successfully unionizes

Following efforts began in October, a Friday vote makes it official: the Starbucks on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township PA now has a union.

The location’s staff voted 16-10 in favor of forming the union, according to organizer Bailey Muhl. The voting process saw two voting sessions; 9-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m., with a vote count shortly thereafter and a celebration at the Whitehall Diner later in the evening. Store managers for the location also attended the vote, Muhl added.

The next step for the union, Muhl said, will be to schedule dates for bargaining and electing union positions.

Last week, the location held a sip-in that saw local legislators and officials drop by to demonstrate support for unionization.

Some of the issues that inspired employees to try unionizing, Muhl said, included raising their starting pay of $15 an hour to a livable wage that will keep up with inflation of needs such as rent, food and medical bills, as well as creating policies to keep managers accountable, especially with high manager turnover. She added she sees Starbucks’ management and corporate offices as prioritizing profits over people’s well-being.

I buy a bag of whole bean Colombian at lidl for under 6 dollars. Grind it and brew it in French press. The bag lasts me a week if I have 2 cups per day. Just be smart people
