Red John, I get where you're coming from. I have a similar problem, though probably less severe. There's a problem that some of us have that has to do with energy, or vibe, and girls detect that instantly. Its like an extra sense they have, and are put off by anything off about it. Sometimes you can get past it, and often you have no chance. Unfortunately, there are very few chicks left that want a life partner and don't already have one. Just do the best you can, and always follow the path of least resistance, consistent with your own values.

I am also pretty non-social and it literally pains me to make "small talk" sometmes (I start getting migraines and even intestinal trouble). But I learned that love is not about me, love is about the other person. Love is about sacrificing yourself for others, just like Jesus sacrificed Himself for us. When you have love, you genuinely care about other people's lives, even if it pains you to do so. When you have love, you can ask those "mundane" questions and really mean it, and not be disingenuous, because you truly care about the other person's life.

99% of the time, when you ask a "mundane" "small talk" question, you would get a "generic" response, but that doesn't mean it's disinegenous, for you cannot see their heart and what they think and feel when they are answering. 1% of the time, you meet a person who is in troubled times and needs a word of encourgement or prayer, but if you give up on account of the 99% "generic" interactions, how do you meet that 1%?

Love is not about yourself and your feelings, it is about the other person. So, stop with the self-focused "woe is me" attitude and start focusing on caring about others, then you can begin to learn love.

What they realize is that you don't like them, so they move on. If you liked them, you wouldn't think their personal stuff is "worthless." WHen you truly love a woman as yourself, and as Jesus loves you, then everything about her matters to you, just as everything in your life matters to Jesus, and obviously matters to yourself as well since you are so self-focused.

Take all that self-focused energy and turn it to focus on others. It is hard and painful, but that is love, to love others as yourself means you focus on others just as much, even more, than yourself.

Love is not easy. Love is to die for the other person, and that is the love Jesus has for us and commands husbands to have for their wives. (see Ephesians 5:25)

I am verbally incompetent and "freeze up" in social situations, but I got close to my wife through writting letters to each other. In the years leading up to our marriage, we became best friends through writing lots of multi-page letters to each other. Through these letters, I was able to express myself in ways I could not verbally. After lots of writing back and forth, we became more comfortable with each other and the verbal communication becme easier. We could say a few words and knew what each other was gonna say without saying it ("finishig each other's sentences").

It seems you like hanging out with immature "girls" (A middle-aged "woman" can still be an immature "girl").

My first impression of my wife was very negative. We were just kids and I tried to talk her and she wanted nothing to do with me. She is introvert and just wanted to keep to herself, and was too immature to step out of her comfort zone. It wasn't until many years later when we were adults and God had molded both of us to be more mature, when she came to me looking for friendship that eventually blossomed into marriage. Given her introversion, it was truly a miracle of God, just like with Rebecca in the Bible, that God moved her to befriend me.

You have to give up your own life, your own will, your self, and give your life to Jesus and let Him run your life. Stop trying to do things on your own. And if it's God's will for you to get married, He will provide you someone. But, the point is, give up your will and let God's will be done and stop worrying about how "ugly" or "autistic" you are or whatever self-pity you are wallowing in. God is soverign and have joy and contentment in that.
