What are your thoughts on Venmo?

I have had Pay Pal for over a decade now and with all the talk of them possibly charging you $2,500 if you post something that is of a different opinion from what they think. I mean WTF?

So I finally paid off my account but have not actually closed it yet.

I wanted to see what Venmo was all about first so I attempted to initiate an account but I hit the back arrow and screwed everything up! Imagine that..computer illiterate me.

But from what I can tell it is more of a bank than Pay Pal. Seems like somehow I had a "line of credit" with PP that I never asked for.

Anyway what are the differences you like or don't like about them?

Have you ever had a bad experience with Venmo? Looks like I have to provide my personal bank information before I can open an account (yes before all the smartasses come out of the woodwork I did say it was more of a bank!).

It's been forever since I signed up for PP.I
