Baptists have been known to have very sound doctrine, one of the best churches you can find if they have good pastors. Kind of like calvary chapel.

But today, its a mixed bag since we are late in the church age.

In H^br^w the word for Spirit (&#1512;&#1493;&#1495;) (ruach) is feminine, (which is used in the H^br^w Bible, as is the feminine word "shekhinah" in rabbinic literature, to indicate the presence of God,

So feel free to contact JD Farag or Jack Hibbs and ask if Ruach is feminine. Since in Israel they know it is and it means the holy spirit.

Now ask them if the two angels on the ark of the covenant were male and female. Because in Israel they know they were.

Notice they lay dead for 3 1/2 days, which makes one wonder if this relates to the 3 1/2 years of the Great Tribulation. They prophecy for 3 1/2 years or 1,260 days.

3 1/2 repeats itself a lot in the Bible

Personally, my family preps. Fear, yes and no. We can see the state of the world, America. We prepare for the hard times and it is a good thing we did.

My husband tore his distal bicep tendon in September at work, UPS and just before PEAK which gives lots of hours and overtime, plus holiday pay. We count on this pay, especially since IBM laid him off a month before the plandemic began along with 7000 other US employees. There isn't work for him in his main occupation, and his once part time job now pays for life plus our savings is going broke. We are living on workman's comp.

If it wasn't for those "preps" that God led me to do, we would be in really rough shape by this point.
If I had not prepped, there wouldn't be food and supplies in our home. God led us to take care of ourselves.

This was six months after my son, 22 special needs (mentally retarded) was diagnosed with testicular cancer. And the year before my daughter was diagnosed with Lupus. For 4 years I have suffered with severe persistent asthma.

We all got through tribulations. It is nothing like the Great Tribulation which I doubt anyone can even prep for - but should do so if lead to.

I was raised in the old time Pentecostal ways. My church taught more of a mid- trib rapture, yet it always felt like a pre-wrath since it was when Jesus returned, well, just before so we were caught up with him and then joined him in the battle

I remember going to a Baptist church with a dear friend when we were kids. They were very good at making young and old to memorize verses of the Bible. If you don't know the Bible, how will one ever know if someone isn't teaching sound doctrine or their own misinterpretation? My church was also like this.

satan knows the Bible better than most Believers.

He will most likely become indignant when the so-called Rapture does not occur, curse God and fall away into perdition, as will many others who believe this false doctrine… that is, if he actually is a human Christian, and not a demon in masquerade.

Pre-trib rapture doctrine cherry picks verses and strings them together like Fruit Loops on wet spaghetti. It falls apart and eventually stinks.

When I moved here in 1999 I went church shopping. 3 different churches were teaching why the Left Behind books were true. I don't want any book but the Bible at the pulpit, especially badly written fiction.

Tim LaHaye openly admitted he used his popularity and power to manipulate politics to cause prophecy fulfillments, as interpreted by him, so we'll all get raptured out sooner, before things get tough.

Why not rape the planet? We're gonna get raptured in a few years anyway.

My God and my Bible instructs me to prepare for the days of calamity and scarcity, to take care of my family and neighbors. I already resent the pre-trib grasshoppers who expect me to feed them when the rapture isn't soon enough for them.

I appreciate your feedback, however, I basically threw back what was thrown and to correct the record. My message was relatively compassionate compared to most other responses garnered on this.

Let not your heart be troubled or whatever. My soul belongs the the Lord, never mind how I behave, it is His to do what He deems righteous; And I trust Him in the end to decide my fate.

Glory to Lord Jesus Christ, even in my sinning nature, He continues to bless and I stand by that until my last breathe.

Actually as Christians we are to do our best NOT to sin anymore.
We are suppose to love one another.
Give to the sick and the poor.

If we lead with love, everything else falls into place.
Turning from our wicked ways, leaving them in the past, is what we have been instructed to do.

Judge not, least you/we are judged. If you judge harshly, God in turn will judge us harshly.

Not everyone is perfect. Many try and try again. No one knows what is in the heart/soul nor how horribly they feel when they screw up. No one wants their mistakes thrown back in their face.

whats wrong there you think? John Ankerberg is one of the men i recomend people here head over to to get anchored in the christian faith and learn what christians believe, arguments for christianity etc, he's a convervative old school baptist and atleast used to have one of the most viewed christian shows in the US (i think something like 10-15 years ago).

Charles Lawson is another one, not a TV show guy, but he has many anoited sermons.

I had infant baptism among lutherans but my parents were atheists, its something almost everyone did back in the days. So I felt i should and was baptised as an adult believing christian in the baptists.

I dont believe that denominations says so much about the church as it used to and people tell me theres lots of apostacy among baptist churches today with woke pastors and all sorts of nonsense, but its one of the denominations that traditionally has had very sound doctrine.

Charismatics are one of the good groups i find teach sound doctrine if they are good at going to scripture in light of what they experience.

Should be easy to give an example then.

Which means you do not believe in the imminent return of Christ, you have to wait atleast 7 years of triblation with the antichrist and everything before he comes. And you dont believe the j ish people will come back into the sheepfold like Romans 11:26 says, which means there must be some kind of denominational shift.

Whether one believes they are going to be raptured out or not, stockpiling food for those left behind would be the Christian thing to do.

Christ fed the unbelievers twice, in great masses, so they could also be fed the Word.

So, if resurrection is not until the Lord's Day, you have work to do and the means to do it.

And, if you think you won't be around, leaving behind a stockpile of food, along with a stack of bibles, would be the very Christian thing to do.

And a good excuse for having a fun hobby.

3.5 years. The man of sin only rules for 3.5 years. This is the same duration of time the woman of Rev 12 and the two witnesses are protected.

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months.

Yep, thats right, preps can be needed before the rapture, so it is common sense aswell, and something that might be left behind to help the tribulation saints that have to go trough the tribulation so its good either way.

But then youre prepping for the right motives, not out of fear. And you'll prep a way you wont regret, like leaving modern civilization and family/friends for davey crocket life.

So you are mid trib now where you think the rapture will happen before the antichrist rule?

The two witnesses are raptured:

I see the 3.5 years as the midpoint Christ was cut off with the 2nd part of the week remaining.

The man of sin rules for 3.5 years while the two witnesses and woman of rev 12 are protected.
