With family it was important to make sure you visited, kept in touch, saw and made sure everyone was taken care of. Neighbors were closer back then too. They weren’t family but you looked out for them and vice versa. And then everyone looked out for the kids to an extent. That was what was great about that decade, at least from a kids perspective. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78180923 Canada 11/19/2022 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The 80s was the decade of recessions, AIDS, Ronald Reagan, and terrible poofter music. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78997133 And Journey SUCKS. Reagan was actually the one bit of sanity in an increasingly "lefty" America, although sometimes even his instincts were overly influenced by the "leftys" of society. His biggest fuck-up - Iran-Contra - was because he later admitted that his (to paraphrase) do-gooder biases got the better of him. Now in 2022, the US has witnessed even more decades of "lefty" do-gooderism. It's therefore meaner, greedier, more decadent, more unethical and dark-hearted than ever before. Thanks, Liberals! . Regan was a senile NWO puppet. All presidents since him were/are also NWO puppets. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78180923 Canada 11/19/2022 06:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The difference between now and the 80's is really like a completely different world. Gen-X was the last generation that got to experience a truly disconnected society. The Internet ruined everything. Truth! I had a winter place down on the Yucatan back in the 1990's and it was wonderful. We had a lending library for readings, and we played games at night for entertainment, and snorkeled and scuba dived during the day. Then the internet came in around 2005, and nobody talked to each other anymore. The internet ruined the place, and it became a ghost town at night, with no cocktail parties and social games. The internet is a curse to social interaction. You were 10 years too late. The Internet started becoming common in about 1995. By 1997 PCs at home and the Internet went mainstream. |

I blame the record label execs myself. they controlled who and what was bought out there to the public. (Below) Voted the top song on radio stations for many years, decades ago.. It was the music industry, which was totally controlled by the NWO globalists (just like all mass media) that ruined popular music. |

Together since 1984 https://imgur.com/qerVzTn Glad to see you two are holding strong. You guys must look at each other and say you can believe the changes in the world we’ve went through? Lots of couples didn’t get to do that, some broke up, some passed away, crazy life trials and tribulations stuff happened etc etc. Always nice to see the ones who made it through intact. Especially when it involves the power of rock. |

An awful lot of good films were made in the 80s- maybe more than any deacde before or since. The 80s were very gay also. Not in the beyond the pale clown world evil gay stuff we have these days, but just gayness in a milder form. But alot of it. 80s was a good decade, every decade has it's pros and cons. It's hard to know which was the best... it's completely subjective. |

[I fixed the error in your comment for you] You know that’s true, lots of poofters rocked, and we didn’t care that they were gay, neither did their band mates that weren’t gay, it was on down the line of what we thought of them. Why did they want to make us care and focus on what they did sexually? Big Gay just never quits. They have issues. |
