Technology has only gotten worse from the 1950s!

All home appliances have gotten worse, and don't hold up!

Home tool used to be much better!

Instead of flying cars, and vacations to Mars, like they said we would have today, all we got are shittty cell phones that invade our privacy! Everything else is exactly the same, but much worse quality!





As far as music, I liked singers like Elvis much better than those crappy screaming British Boy Bands, like the Beatles.

I thought the Hippies really ruined everything.

The beatniks were a lot of fun, and so was the surf music!

The music from my era wasn't very good at all, Punk and Disco.

I remember a friend had a jean jacket with a sign on the back that said disco sucks. I agree and I think most of the modern noise sucks as well.

Reagan was actually the one bit of sanity in an increasingly "lefty" America, although sometimes even his instincts were overly influenced by the "leftys" of society.

His biggest fuck-up - Iran-Contra - was because he later admitted that his (to paraphrase) do-gooder biases got the better of him.

Now in 2022, the US has witnessed even more decades of "lefty" do-gooderism. It's therefore meaner, greedier, more decadent, more unethical and dark-hearted than ever before.

It was everywhere. In the paint. Cars were made of it and bikes too! It was in the aerosol deodorant and hair spray. It was in the air. In the cola. We even put metal in our teeth. Some even wore it on their knuckles.

I would go from Oakland California to San Diego every summer. Night tag, star wars figures, video games, MTV just came out. Slurpees, cheap good Mexican food.
Dungeons and Dragons.
Up north in Oakland I was learning stuff..GT bmx freestyle group crew, fresh festivals, Adidas shell toe, Charlie Bronson movies. Cougar cars, mad magazine, cracked magazine.
Benny hill show? The list goes on and on.

The difference between now and the 80's is really like a completely different world. Gen-X was the last generation that got to experience a truly disconnected society. The Internet ruined everything.
