Go to college to get a career (doctor, lawyer, engineer, scientist) or don't and learn a trade which contribiutes to society. As a PhD engineer, I never felt indoctrinated or like I was learning useless things (as long as I was in the ENG building). Granted, that was 12 years ago. College used to be taught by one professor and not high level english class or other classes that waste your time giving y9u more homework. Those days are gone. The 0rofessors are cycled which makes students lose trust to the teacher and forget everything they learn. It doesn't work. Think of kung fu masters.
