Anonymous Coward User ID: 84458574 Finland 11/05/2022 11:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | we in Europe changed the clock like a week ago Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82002276 why are you so late The fuckheads in Washington DC several years ago decided to change Daylight Saving Time from 7 months to 8 months. It originally was just 6 months long, which was bad enough. When most people need as much time as possible in order to prepare for getting to work, attending meetings, appointments, running chores, etc, eliminating one hour per day (by pushing the clock forward) is really idiotic. BTW, the sun naturally sets later and later in the day as the Northern hemisphere moves towards the mid months of summer. . |

Miserable tradition It used to last about 6 months each which was a little more tolerable. But then that fucking George bush turned it back about 6 or 7 weeks. Like the sheep they are…Canada and the rest of the world followed the USA. We had standard time for hundreds of years with no problems but we listen to some crackpot and says everything will be way better for the world. STANDARD TIME ALWAYS! |

It was not intended to be continued on with, but hey, isn't that like every other "temporary" You can thank that dirty rat bastard for DST. That d**khead claimed it "saves fuel"... And I guess people believed it, bought into it and continued on. Typical! Although, I will say, it is fitting to have Wartime right now, seeing as the entire world is engaged in a WWIII type scenario. It needs to be ended, we shouldn't be changing/messing with the original occurrence of "time". Just more foolish assertion of humans and their brilliant ideas of what life should be. There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. |

Quoting: Agent_Kilroy It was not intended to be continued on with, but hey, isn't that like every other "temporary" The theory is that DST is supposed to save energy. But a study done several years ago in Indiana, where half the state remained on Standard and the other half switched to Daylight, found that energy usage didn't decline in the areas under DST. DST not only doesn't save energy, it fucks around with people's health. A lack of enough rest or sleep is a major health issue and DST makes that even worse. BTW, Bush II opposed the part of legislation in the 1990s that included the expansion of DST. But as typical of a squish-squish that he was/is, he wasn't so against DST that he would have refused signing the bill. . |
