Klipsch Jubilee Floor Standing Speaker
This has been around since about 1996 (Klipsch Jubilee year) , but they seem to have finally finished and call it their flagship model, surpassing the 75 yo Klipschorn.

If you have to ask, you probably can't afford a pair. $36K per pair.

I love that they've taken the basic LaScala base and used 2x 12" drivers and 3 x 4" vents. My Corner Horns are already too big for my living room and I'm not even sure I could get a pair of Jubilees through the front door.

The speaker pair that I was working on had 2x15" drivers on each side, but it's an open back design. Not horn loaded in the slightest.

I might start on a copy of the Jubilee, just for the fun of it.

I had a set of Klipsh La Scala’s a few year back, amazing full sound.
I bet these jubilees are stunning sounding, they look great!

The concensus seems to be that they don't sound like Klipsch speakers. They don't even sound like horn speakers.
it's a two-way design with an active electronic x-over.

back to the lascala comparison, the LaScala has 1 15" woofer but this has two 12" WOOFERS and it is vented. So it's horn loaded AND vented. If they were mine, I would recut the mouth to twice it's size, but that's good advice for nearly any Klipsch.

Not what they deserve. I usually use Adcom amps, but right now they are connected to a Denon Rcvr. I've always put more money into the speaker than the electronics.

I would encourage you to get into a horn loaded design.

IIRC, you're in AR. I'm in Pulaski county.

PK(Paul Klipsch)(deceased) is/was in Hope Ar. Crites audio is N of Russellville and he seems to be the final authority on Klipsch x-overs and his Crites tweeter replacement for Klipsch.
I would like to make the trek to Russellville to visit his
store and check out his products. I hate building x-overs, but Crites might be a little pricey.

I don't want to be mean, but bose sucks.

If you don't want to build from scratch, Parts Express had kits to build, as do a few other places.

Did you feel like the Bass was adequate?
As noted, the Jubilee has no carry over parts from the other Heritage speakers. It's a two way design and the only thing that I can find from other speakers is the basic layout starts with a Lascala style motorboard. But not exactly.
I think the top end is handled by some 402 horns and those are what I want to get my hands on. The mid/top range is where the quality and "feels" comes from.

A few years back I was selling K-horn instructions and parts dimensions on Ebay for $20 bucks but Ebay made me stop. It was easy money for a while. Somebody must have yelled about it being copywrited materal. Most of this information is available if you search for it.
maybe I'll build the Jubilee, make construction plans and sell them on ebay. Sort of get ahead of the curve.

Adcom. The only good thing to ever come out of New Jersey.

If you are vaxxed, will you let me have your adcoms when you die? I would appreciate it.

I'm enjoying a nice pair of restored AR9's myself. I just love the acoustic suspension design. Deep tight bass and accurate mids and highs with gigantic soundstage. Quite trilling to listen to when powered with the right high current amp. I'm using a 350W SS which does a great job. Throw a tube preamp and front and now you're singing!

I went thru the Klipsch phase myself owning Klipshorns, Cornwalls, LaScala & KG4.2's. In the end I couldn't get over the shoutiness of the speaker. The horn colorations make everything sound live. It's actually quite seductive when listening to classical, vocal and jazz with tubes in front. Everything goes to hell though with rock, pop genres IMO. I wouldn't mind addding a pair of vintage Chorus 2's to my stable as I'd like to have a horn option back in the mix.

I didn't like the klipschorn midhorn sound. I hated to do something like listen to my alma mater play football while listening to the radio. I think the midhorns used something like a 1" mouth which just wasn't big enough.
SO> I build some larger wooden horns and powered them with some Audax 6" professional direct radiators. It still sounds really good, and that is essentially what Klipsch did on the Jubilee. They have a much larger horn and they use a 7" titanium direct radiator to power it.

I was working on some open back speakers with 8" full range speakers augmented by two 15" bass speakers on each side. No x-over needed for the full range, and put a First Order
crossover on top of the woofers to make them fade out about 400.. But, I might change directions and do something like the jubilees. I need to make something before the world ends.

Klipsch designed his klipschorn while still in the army and after he got out, he built the 1st k-horn in 1946, so that's why he called these speakers the Jubilee (50 year) from 46 to 96. Apparently there were old army buildings around Hope that he used to open up for business. I think he sold out about 2002, or so, but the Heritage speakers (stereo) continued to be built in Hope and I guess they let him keep a desk to set his coffee on. He died a couple of years ago.
Visiting the Klipsch Museum in Hope is still on my to-do list.

Do you have a style in mind? you should go horn after you get through the 24's range. horns are clearer because they( the diaphram) don't have to move as much for the same volumn...which equals CLARITY. ie, the vocals aren't as smudged.
Maybe the jubilees are for you.
You will have some difficulty matching High freq drivers with the same sensitivity as your woofers. or maybe you will use different amps for each range of freqs.

the jubilee has a sensitivity of about 106/DB/WT and will handle about 1200 watt amp.. with top SPL of about 125DB, which would be great for removing the paint from the ceiling.
