It’s kinda ironic, for years now the west has used jihad against their enemies funding Islamic terror groups and now Russia is trying to use it against the west.

The West never used jihad, that's exclusively an Islamic term.

US funded Islamic terrorism by agreeing to the petrodollar, not understanding the nature of Islam. Because in the 1950's post WWII there was a huge culture of Capitalism. Enterprise that followed was blind and ostrich effect happened.
