I love making with homemade bread and at least 3 different kinds of cheese and the bread must have a LOT of butter while it is being toasted!

Oh yeah! I grew up poor in near Appalachia and that was a standard dinner as a kid....regular grilled cheese dipped in Campbells tomato soup. And if we didn't have cheese, breaded butter dipped in a can of tomato soup. God, I miss those days so much!

I'm weird. I liked the really dry grilled cheese they used to serve for lunch in middle school back in the 80's.

Texas toast with government cheese baked in the oven.

So dry, when you dipped it into the tomato soup, it would soak up half the bowl.

It's harder to find now but I found this one a couple of years back. I normally purchase 10 jars to last a year. I usually have it on sandwiches and sometimes on chicken breasts.
